if they're getting more recurrent streams longterm and not just due to being viral, that makes it a classic

if they're not getting recurrent streams, it's not a classic

CIL and Toxic are definitely classics but not in the top 3 of the 2000s

YBWM feels bigger than Love Story in Latin America indeed but LS seems like an actual classic in Asia and the US, just like Alicia’s songs.
