Cold Heart has been released on August 13th 2021 and Hold Me Closer on August 26th 2022, more than one year later. Elton John has released three official singles between CH and HMC. One with Charli Puth, one with Stevie Wonder and one with Ed Sheeran. All of them completely bombed.

No one actually considers Hold Me Closer as an actual comeback and using Spotify as a shade is strange when everyone gets featured on playlists nowadays. I would even add that its Spotify placement has always been pretty low. Its highest position was "#10" and it lasted maybe a week. Most artists spend enough money to remain in the TTH Top 10 for months.

yes, that's why if you account for when they were both released, Break My Soul and HMC are not that far in streams from each other 

Idk how we can say it’s a success though. It’s only been on for 6 weeks and almost off. Her two singles are getting radio play and one spent two weeks, the other one, and neither got beyond #94. Since it’s her worst charting to date, I’d say that’s a flop for her standards. But it’s no surprise since the gp doesn’t like women over 40 and men over 50. Everyone has to be in their 20s to breakthrough because looks are everything, not talent. 

I fear anyone could out-debut Renaissance in the UK, so I would say yes! 

If Britney TRULY wanted it and had the team behind her for it, she'd easily do better numbers. I'm talking lead single with a video and maybe some promo. Hold Me Closer was a Top 10 hit with charting longevity and she was basically MIA outside of hopping on Insta. every now and then to post videos of her spinning so...

 

Xtina has been done commercially since Obama's first term in office. I don't see her having another commercially successful album again.

She could’ve released at least 3 more albums in these periods. So just leave her alone.

I don’t think RCA would be competent with playlisting Britney’s lead and they definitely won’t manipulate Autoplay like most acts do nowadays, but even Make Me… did 100M+ with peak playlisting around just 5M.

Pink has been outdoing Britney for over a decade . What’s this delusional that she could easily outdo her when she hasn’t since what? 2004?

Taylor is the only one who released consistently. Bey took a 6 year gap between studio albums and done side projects, Rih was entirely absent, Adele also a 6 year gap. Gaga is not unique here

Have to give it to Pink, she promotes her music non-stop and worldwide. If everyone did promo like her + had radio deals, payola, and catered their music to soccer moms, anything could happen tbh.

It won't make much difference, BJ - 2 weeks with WB, even FF only charted for 9 weeks. Circus was her last decent charting album.

Xtina can't even chart on BB200 so not sure why she's even considered. You'd be better off comparing her to Jessica Simpson or Mandy Moore.

Britney has always been frontloaded. HIAM went #1 and now its streams barely cracking 20k daily. Same with Work *****, etc. But she still has bigger fanbase than Xtina and Pink. So I think she will get cute peak but no longevity. 

 

Xtina could hit a success with a collab  or with a perfect/good/trendy latin song for her (which is currently one of the biggest genre)
