Fevesy Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 My entire friend group from high school are still pretty close and we make a thing of seeing each other once a month in a group setting. We left high school 10 years ago now. One of my best friends from "elementary" is actually dating one of my friends from the high school group but if it was otherwise I don't think we'd have kept in contact.
imabadkid Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 with the exception of one person not really… grew up and grew apart tbh
schnetzka Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Elementary: 0 Middle: 1 High: same person as Middle College: 1 (although we hardly talk)
Robert Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 I still have 3 close friends from high school (which is 11-16 here) and a couple others I see from time to time. Most of my friends are from uni or work though.
Solaria Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 My main friend group are almost all people i've met in high school and I consider them to be my family I really don't believe that it's easier to make friends in college, I find it significantly harder because most of the people I know have already established friend groups and aren't really interested in hanging out outside of school. But maybe it's different in other countries
mystery Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 No friends from elementary school, only one of them has remained a mutual on social media. Two friends from middle school, a fair amount of mutuals, meet up or chat with a few of them from time to time. Two best friends (one of them is from middle school), a few other friends, many mutuals that I chat with or meet up with. High school was four years ago so this will probably change in the future for many. I do expect to stay close to my best friends.
byzantium Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 My best friends are from high school and college. I left middle school in the past.
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 High school freind asks me to give him blowies
John Slayne Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) yes, i live in a different country now so we don't talk daily but i still consider some of them to be close friends of mine and i make the effort to call every few months it's great, i feel like even though we don't talk as much anymore every time we do talk the energy is still there and we still like each other. i'm from a small town so i've known some of them basically all my life Edited April 1, 2023 by John Slayne
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted April 1, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 1, 2023 My best friend is a high school friend. We actually didn’t go to the same HS, but we met during HS and became friends. Still are 15 years later.
RunUpDoneUp Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Friend is probably a stretch but we're cool. He's like married now and has kids, so clearly making bad decisions but he's still nice and kinda hot now(good for him.) My 2 best friends are my primary school friends, actually capable of going to jail for each other. It's a cult.
Nico Robin Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 (edited) Yeah, my best friend who Ive known since 1st grade is actually my flatmate + another friend of mine since first grade lives across the street. Edited April 1, 2023 by TSwiftie
Cain Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 No, my oldest friendship is 5 years now? Which is when I started to really become my own person and got to know myself and what I do and don’t like in relationships
Theshigo Washidu Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Only one but that's because we grew up together. I follow three others on social media but I haven't actually had a convo with them or seen them since school.
cockatoo Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I find friendship groups from school are often super forced and people argue a lot. One or two friends from then can work, but people change too much as they grow up, most people won't still like the same type of people as before.
Rotunda Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I have one friend from middle/high school that I keep up with, and then a handful of people that I’m only really friends with on social media. My core friend group is really just people I met during college at this point, but even that is dwindling a bit now that we’re all spread out.
Young Volcanoes Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I only talk to one girl from high school, I also met my high school best friend recently and we said we'd hang out but she never responded to my text so I blocked her. I honestly don't have the time to be dealing with people who still act like they're in high school.
BloodLuster Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 no, not even from college. all of them are opportunistic b*tches and cutting them off was a wise choice.
Zoomer Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I met my best friend at middle school. I’m still touch with a bunch of of ‘friends’ from highschool but I haven’t hung out with any since 2018
