LittleStarmen Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I mean these heroes are like third tier. Who the **** is shazam
TheCal Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Because they don't look good anymore. The CGI is horrendous now.
Johnny Jacobs Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 The scripts are bad The actors are a mess The cgi is a mess (Marvel's) The genre is getting predictable and washed up
Gorjesspazze9 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 (edited) The Biggest Movie of the year is Antman.💀😭 Like? And Everyone knew Shazam would be irrelevant within a week, cuz nobody cares about him Edited March 28, 2023 by Gorjesspazze9
Solaria Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Because Black Panther is the only good thing left about the MCU.

If you pretend two Chinese releases that grossed more than 600m don't exist then yeah sure, not to mention that many major releases are about to arrive and most likely kick it out of the yearly top 10.
CrimsonX Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Hollywood wants to phase out hero’s and make villains the stars.
Europe Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 It's because we entered the year of the rabbit. The world shifted spiritually. It will be all about big titties again by the time we arrive to 2024.
Da Vinci Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Deadpool 3 will be enough for the Phase 5 (?) to coast by I need the MCU to pick itself up to finally make a PROPER X-Men film series
DawnAnti Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Both shazam and ant man are irrelevant so I’m not surprised
Mr. Mendes Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I mean if we’re talking actual box office revenue then Ant-Man has been Marvel’s only non-pandemic flop. Everything else has turned a profit, it just didn’t do a billion. That’s not flopping. DC however…that’s another story entirely
Virgos Groove Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 There's only so many mediocre movies you can churn out before audiences tune off.
IWantASoda35 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Cause we want x-men and F4. Not these secondary characters
Love Drought Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Not really if we’re talking about box office numbers. DC has been a mess for years. No one expected Shazam, Black Adam, The Suicide Squad to be huge blockbuster hits. They should be worried when their well renowned IPs flop, which is basically Batman and Superman. Joker and The Batman (depending on the success of the Penguin series and the sequel) will keep them afloat for a while. As for Marvel, Ant-Man has never been huge. Eternals and Shang Chi were never gonna bring in huge numbers. Doctor Strange was probably the only real box office disappointment but 900 million ain’t that bad. The real test will be X-Men and Fantastic Four since those characters are more known to the GP.
mokitsu Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 The GP saw blockbusters with gripping storytelling, good performances and excellent visuals ala Top Gun and Avatar and were reminded of what cinematic excellence looks like
airplane Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Bound to happen when you cast mediocrity like Tom Holland and Zendaya
