All those corporate cliches and fake positivity drive me crazy. The corporate world is so hollow.

Glad I left both lmfao, total ****

I’m not touching that **** with a stick

It's so unintentionally funny, the entrepreneur influencer world is hell.

Thank god I’m not the only one that finds all the fakeness nauseating

"HELLO! If you're looking for a go-getting, self-starting, hyphen-using team player, look no further! Throughout my 6 months of experience in the workforce, I have consistently pushed myself to outperform my previous achievements each and every day."

It's like an entire website full of that automated voice you hear when you call your insurance company.

I absolutely refuse to make an account on there but it's kind of a gold mine if you pretend it's parodying corporate culture

It is quite literally the worst app ever. People do too much on Instagram.

I had to download it again last week and I'm already having a crisis and questioning my life decisions because all these entrepreneur wannabes are driving me insane :toofunny3: Wish it was easier to get jobs/internships elsewhere tbh.

It's useful for finding a job, but nothing more than that. I'm definitely not posting any **** on there, the fake 'my job is amazing and all my collegues are my best friends, yet in real life I can't stand them' factor on that site really is something else.

Just use indeed. Linkedin is for grannies

Everyone hates it they just won’t admit it

Yep, that's why I never got into it.

It’s so useless because when you want to apply the you can’t even send a dm to the employers. Then what’s the point :hoetenks:

It’s nauseating. I cringe every time I have  to login there

Posted (edited)

literally don't ever use it if you aren't actively looking for a job (and even then you still don't need to post anything or bother reading everyone else's stupid **** on there :dies: )

I met a few of them in person and… the FAKERY

Posted

I absolutely hate it. I just have my account and update it from time to time in case an interesting offer appears, but I can't stand scrolling through all that bs on my timeline

Anyone who posts on that site and isn’t looking to hire is cringe.  The fakest people on earth.

Posted

it's like Facebook on crack... an app full of literal nutjobs.

It's my most-used social media. I find it best to connect with professionals and maintain those types of relations. Maybe it's a cultural difference or the people you're connected with? The people I met there were all nice and inspiring.

One of the most horrid social media platforms out there. :doc: I've had to use it lately though to update my resume since I recently left my job.

As a computer scientist, I can't help but roll my eyes when I log into LinkedIn and see nonstop posts about how ChatGPT is sentient and we need to discuss giving it civil rights. The people often spearheading these conversations are generally people with MBAs and no actual understanding of the technology in the first place. LinkedIn really is just a cesspool of egotism and self-promotion.

Yeah, I agree. I have an account on there only to periodically see how the job market is shifting. I refuse to engage with any post or have some ridiculous ass biography about how I love my job so much and how I've dedicated my whole life to my career. Hell ******* no, I do my job to get a paycheck at the end of the month. Couldn't give less of a **** about my company.

I deleted after getting my job, truly terrible app
