This is actually good. Next step giving the trans community their own category! :clap3:

Sis, you are literally the person who was faced with conclusive studies that showed regret rates of medical transition were as low as 3% for trans people (and that the vast majority of trans people who did detransition go on to later *re-transition* later on in life), and the responded with this:

And only when multiple people besides myself corrected you on the objective facts that you were ignoring, did you acknowledge that you were in the wrong and, as I quote, "duped" by anti-trans propaganda:

Maybe instead of having a bee in your bonnet where you view yourself as an inherently logical liberal and frame myself and one or two others as eXtrEMisTs, who thus can NEVER be acting from the most logical and responsible position, maybe take a second to reflect on how you find yourself repeatedly duped by and tricked into supporting right-wing movements and narratives that seek to harm trans people.

In this thread alone, your refusal to engage with why a "blanket ban" is the *extremist* route and why the science supports the continued status quo has you locked arm-in-arm with users who *checks note* call non-binary people mentally ill or who have lauded trans people as "ruining the LGB movement as a whole".

The irony being, somehow, American liberals have been the main hardliners for pro-trans equality compared to their British and Australian peers overtaken by different waves of TERF rhetoric, and thus, trans support remains the highest out of the 3 in - again, somehow - America.

Maybe protecting trans people also requires rejecting and not being duped by right-wing narratives.

I will not go into great detail in my response as I am short on time today (hope you can be understanding about that).

But I will just say that despite all the quoting you've done, it shows that I never claimed children transitioning harms most of them, as you falsely claimed. There is simply not the inconsistency here you claim there is. I agreed that I had been over swayed by the stories of a few detransitioners and was overstating that issue, but at no point did I indicate support for banning children transitioning - in fact, in the first post in that thread, I stated my opposition to it.

I showed willingness to listen and reflect despite you accusing me of being a threat to queer youth as a queer teacher, a grave insult. I admire your fervour for trans people & working people. I know we exchange fiery words often because we disagree a lot but know that I genuinely respect that. Please show me the same respect by not consistently making the worst interpretations of my arguments, falsely characterising what I say & attempting to frame me as some kind of duped ally of bigots, or worse, a dog whistling reactionary.

With respect to that user, I don't know them or their politics and I was just highlighting a singular point that I agreed with.

there’s something truly wrong with you. You clearly need a hobby

This screenshot of you mocking a user for having students who end up trans tells me your investment in this topic is not just you being concerned about fairness in women's sports. And that maybe you're not someone whose opinion I should be concerned about, especially with how comfortable you are mocking queer children:

The great thing about being a bigot is that you don't have to think. You don't have to read. You don't have to verify anything. You just have to sit on your ass, intuit the conclusion and never have to see whether it matches reality or not. You're never at fault. You're never responsible. You never have to reconcile with the victims of your beliefs because you never left your bed in the first place.

Transphobes are dreamers. Intellectual shut-ins. They're content to leave doors closed because getting up is too much work.

Anyone who wants to prove the biological supremacy of trans women would want them in all sports they can qualify for and see the domination first-hand but they know that's not true, never will be true and they're not interested in the truth. This is about personal hate. Nothing more, nothing less.

Care to comment on your assertion that trans people had no involvement in the fight for gay rights?

And I stand by that. When gay marriage became legal that was a landmark win for gay rights. Then some people started taking it further by forcing Christian churches to conduct and recognise those weddings or face legal action. That in my opinion is an unnecessary inclusivity. If Christian churches don't want me to be part of their organisations, why force myself in there just because I feel the need to be on par with everything straight couples can do. I can live without that.

But for people like you it's 100% inclusivity in everything or death. Which is toxic as ****.

You believe in trickle-down economics don’t you :rip:

This is what happens bigotry takes over.

Just scrolling through comments and seeing yours all the time in multiple threads (and not actually reading them) makes me realize there’s something truly wrong with you. You clearly need a hobby, immediately… Lol

OT: trans peeps just need their own categories. Problem solved.

I swear that user's tactic is to exhaust everyone to the point that they can't be bothered responding to him anymore. Always the exact same rants. All the talking points he is repeating in this topic he has already used a billion times when he was arguing with me in a bunch of different topics way back. Just smile and nod y'all :foxaylove2:

Hmm … this seems quite a delicate matter to be quite honest, therefore it’s not really my place to share an opinion on this, although interesting to see what will happen.

Though, gotta say that seeing people quoting TikTok videos as absolute truth must be the funniest things I’ve seen on the internet :toofunny2: It’s giving 10 years old kids who watch few videos online and think they know it all.

I am trans woman full of estrogen and passing and I agree. Trans women should not be competing with biological women in any sport professionally.

Every time i do physical sport activities with my (bio) sister like swimming and running or cycling I always beat her.

if trans people want to compete sports professionally there should be a trans category. Fair is fair & it would be a challenge!

What do the majority of transwomen think about this? Coz all I see here are the gays fighting.
