This! I loved their send off in Space and with Rita turning good as Mystic Mother (also as a tribute to Machiko Soga's passing) versus this. It feels so forced.

It was cute. Kind of low budget though.

I think the idea was nice but poorly executed. It would have kinda slayed with a season order in which Trini’s daughter went out to look for new rangers.

It looked super cheap though so of course they could only do 55 minutes.

My main issue is that it feels very non- cannon like, why would they still be rangers when we’ve seen many new generations of new rangers. It felt like they’ve always done that and they gave not context whatsoever of the existence of Ritabot. 
 

I feel like they could’ve gone a darker road with a better storyline, something like shattered grid or something would’ve been quite epic.

 

It felt like a money grab to be honest, I can see why Amy didn’t partake in it.

I love it it was much better than the reboot movie felt more like the true power rangers and hat sone nice twist and nostalgia. I don’t find it cheap in no means i’m impressed they could capture the 90s charme and make it seem mordern. The only downgrade is it’s too short 55 minutes ain’t enough!

Didn’t Rita’s energy take over Alpha’s predecessor? Seemed pretty point blank period.

Right, but Rita was supposedly cured at the end of Rangers in Space when Zordon exploded. They also brought back an updated version of Lord Zedd a few years ago but still they made it seem like after all these years they were still rangers which essentially ignores the existence of the other rangers

It was cute for what it was.  I do appreciate the effort made with the OG's voice clips being utilized, but they weren't slick when it came to Jason.  They didn't use Austin St. John's voice at all.  

 

The tribute to Thuy Thang & Jason David Frank was sweet.
