Zaynsus Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 We already had the big superhero battle in EndGame, we had the Spider-Man crossover we've been waiting for in the last Spider-Man movie... Honestly, what is there left to see after that ? The only thing I'm excited about the MCU is the X-Men reboot.
GagaTomFord Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 apart from a few characters (spiderman, joker, deadpool) it really does feel like people are tired of them. Whether it's the MCU for building on a story that's over 30 movies and tv shows deep or DCEU for still not creating a cohesive universe where no single movie feels like a must-watch

And the TV show tie-ins in particular are watering down the franchise, and making it so that viewers have to do the “homework” of watching a ten hour series before they can even see a film. There’s a lot of lost momentum and the bubble definitely feels like it’s about to pop. But maybe if they pare things down and focus on making better, fewer movies with decent writing and less bloat going forwards they can still save things. thiss
