Is there still people who defend Viola Davis as Michelle Obama?

I just finished "The First Lady" from last summer and I thought it was pretty decent.

 

But as a huge fan of Viola, I thought she almost ruined the show. Me and my friend would be laughing at the worst moment because of her wild acting  

I remember tons of people defending her on this site but honestly what in the 'SNL skit' was goin on here?

I honestly blame this project for ruining her chances at the Oscars for "The Woman King".

I think everyone has fully moved on from that tbh, The Woman King made a lot of money and won her more acclaim

Nope but she's since gone on to perform in the critically acclaimed The Woman King and has become an EGOT so it doesn't matter
