Good. SW is already in a rough spot, we don’t need a film from the writer of one of the worst movies of the 21st century.

She lost Wonder Woman, now this. This is what happens when you make a movie like WW84 :bibliahh:

WW84 was a horrible mess. I think she needs to do original material.

To think she can go from Monster to taking L after L like this :rip:

Good. Don’t reward her for WW 1984.

Lmao. How many Star Wars movies have been announced in the last few years and then cancelled? :toofunny2:

Curious why you didn’t include Feige in your title as his movie has been scrapped as well?

Feige losing his movie is interesting. Patty losing hers isn’t a huge shock though.

Her career and Star Wars in general have fallen off a cliff

The Last Jedi and the Rise of Skywalker have POISONED the Star Wars franchise for a long time l, and WW84 was a disaster

star wars is just a toy compant at this point

this is sad. I hope they can find someone suitable to revitalize this franchise soon

WW84 is honestly one of the worst films I've seen from the last decade and was the film that pulled me out almost completely from the superhero genre.

I've since watched The Batman, which I enjoyed, but nothing else in the genre. I have no interest in anything else upcoming either. Patty likely saved me from watching a bunch of trash. :clap3:

WW84 is not worse than most marvel movies, people do the most

How I wish George Lucas hadn't left this series :ace: Even though he wasn't a perfect storyteller, he at least had a cohesive vision for the franchise

This being the only decent take in here so far :giraffe:

I'll always give credit to Kennedy for giving creators the chance to build the Mando-verse and expand the overall SW shows catalogue. SW could've spent the 2020s with books and comics only, like in the 90s, streaming prevented that.

But I get the feeling that now they bite off more that they can chew. There are currently two SW shows on overlapping release schedules, new seasons and new shows are pumped out every year. Meanwhile, movie projects are cancelled left and right. This can't be healthy. They need to get over the sequels, what's done is done. Readjust expectations and revitalize the movie franchise like they did with the shows. This heavy emphasis on shows will hurt them in the long rum.

The way her career went from Stripped straight to Bionic with Wonder Woman to Wonder Woman 1984

Well, Taika's is still moving forward, so it can't be solely based on the strengths of their last projects :)

And not to mention, how many male directors make bad/flop movies and it doesn't affect their careers and the offers they get afterwards. But female directors can't afford to have one slip up or else it's the end of the road.
