I respect legends, and Stevie is the emperor of r&b music if you wanna call marvin the king  you completely ignored the context when I was talking about The Weeknd, but you’re off about a lot of things!

The Weeknd is more pop than RnB or Soul but go off I guess. Marvin's talent was out of this world to be compared with someone like The Weeknd.

The Weeknd is more pop NOW. He didn’t start off that way I think most of his true fans like his r&b work more that’s why I brought him up. I never compared marvin to The Weeknd. Like I said you don’t really get context.

Stevie winning this for me off happy birthday alone. I do love marvin and his slow jams kinda more than Stevie’s music but stevie has so many CLASSICS. Like there’s so many songs I didn’t realize were his until recently that I always hear

There’s so many good R&B male acts from Lionel Richie, Prince, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Rick James, Stevie Wonder  who are great musicians/songwriters  to James Brown, Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Usher who are great performers but can’t really play an instrument. 
 

Then, there’s excellent vocalists like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke.
