Yes she was super sick - I was supposed to go to the meet and greet, but she cancelled it, and fair enough. I'm bummed but like... I met her yesterday. Alright full story is:

 

I arrived in Sydney airport yesterday morning and right at international arrivals I was buying a simcard from some vendor. As it was being finalised I saw a platinum blonde bob and very brand looking clothed woman emerging and I was like to my friend (who only really knows her because of me) "oh my god that is Kim Petras" and it was obvious, she had heaps of baggage, a little entourage, I recognised one of her dancers.

 

Anyway I was like SNATCHING my SIM card before it was installed lol and hurriedly went after her cause she and her guard or manager or whatever were wandering over to a cafe and she was just kinda dawdling by herself waiting for it to be made so I approached her and was like "excuse me are you Kim Petras?" And she smiled and said "yeah!" I knew she'd just have come from L.A. and that billboard chartbreaker thing so I was shocked to see her in a way. I told her I was a big fan and that she must be super tired because she's been so busy and she was like "yeah I am" and kinda laughed, I told her I had come from New Zealand to see her and I was excited for her show and I literally told her "get lots of rest!" and she was like "I will". She asked if I'd like to take a picture and I was like YES and have my phone to my friend and she was so well versed, jumping into position to pose and then I said thanks and she wandered off to her her coffee, but not before I could say "brr" is one of your best songs! And she was like "I know right?" and then I left her to it and wandered off, and saw her a few mins later with her whole group heading off to their car or bus or whatever they had waiting.

 

It was cool as **** and then her team tracked me down on twitter and offered me a meet and greet for tonight's world pride show, but sadly she did NOT get enough rest and was sick so cancelled the M&G and I can't blame her. She was clearly very emotional on stage to not be able to perform her best, but tbh she absolutely killed it, though I could absolutely tell something was wrong from the get go. She didn't have the usual fierceness and energy. Still, she served. 

 

And anyway yeah - that's that. Awesome to have seen her live!

Amazing! Thanks for telling the story. Congrats on meeting her! That was nice of her to offer a picture without you even asking. I only hear positive things when fans meet Kim irl. I hope to meet her one day!!
