Probably her most underrated, overlooked album. Released in the middle of Covid + her racial controversy, all the drama at the time overshadowed the music. She also moved on really quickly, releasing Blue Banisters later that year. 

Probably Glitter especially including the movie 

Love for sale, but those jazz albums were for arts not charts!

She couldn't even get a Top 10 US hit from downloads alone. But, 4 gave us Love on Top.

For Madonna, it's probably Madame X, and no, it did not deserve better. One could argue American Life, but that still technically had a hit and a very successful tour. American Life did deserve better, though.

 

For Janet, that would be Dream Street. And that album did not deserve better commercially or critically. If we disregard her first two albums, then the big flop era was 20 Y.O., and that absolutely deserved to do better.

It's an amazing album, but it's very different to his usual stuff and I guess some older Allday stans were'nt feeling it since a lot of people didn't know about it!

but after none of the songs charting on Triple J Hottest 100, I think it's his biggest flop yet   Deserves Better! 

guess we getting full on white boy rap next album again 

 

 

 

 

 

Aguilera era, but

even this era has:

- 2 songs that are latin platinum

- small radio hit in South America (+20 top 10) - Santo

- 9 Grammy nominations (including latin AOTY/SOTY/ROTY nominations)

- her first Latin American Music Awards nominations

- successful mini-tour

- gold eligible album

- hopefully she will release a physical version in June (rumors) and the album will debut in several markets

 

To sum up, commercially it is a bomb, but 25 years in its career, so these are not tragic results.

Yours Truly but it was before her breakthrough. It was very successful for her standard.

'evermore', but that was hardly an "era" since it started and ended with the release week.

 

Otherwise, her debut.

For Janet it's Unbreakable, it definitely deserved better.

You could make a case for 20 YO too, but that one didn't deserve better. In fact it deserved worse.

These are all questions (vs. hard POVs), and based on commercial & critical success and long-term brand- & fanbase-building.
