I won't lie though, Translation had some good bops but the whole album was carried by the features. ELEVATION is one of the worst albums I've listened to. What were they (and Shakira) thinking on releasing that dated mess Don't You Worry.

 

But jokes asides, it could be good and big, if handled correctly. The question is, would they go funk (Elephunk, Monkey Business) or electro (The E.N.D./The Beginning)?

They have a Latino member though.

Honestly, the best route to go is make an album that mixes both. The END (the deluxe with the reinvented singles) could be a blueprint.

I also feel like being in the group was doing demanding and she just had her baby and marriage and then she divorced and I guess that she wanted to focus on her kid and staying sane, DD flopped and she was mocked for her performance with the national anthem so why comeback?

 

BEP tried but it felt like they kept doing the same boring sound, they need to try new producers and if they get back they could still smash, they could still try a reunion GH tour and it will sell.

I will believe when I see it. I don't know if Fergie still wanna do any music afterward DD? when was her last release? It felt like she just stop trying after the disastrous DD rollout? Plus she has a family now.

She should have never left them in the first place. Imagine leaving them after I Gotta Feeling only to flop miserably…

What do you mean “now”? The reason why she took a step back is because she went through a divorce and wanted to focus on her kid. She literally performed at last year’s VMAs. It’s entirely possible that she has now decided it’s time to rejoin BEP. This year is 20 years since Elephunk after all.

She didn’t “leave them” after “I Gotta Feeling” though. She wanted to take a break, have a baby and then do another solo project. She only ended up leaving because the other members wanted to come back and she wasn’t ready yet.
