As a transwoman myself, she deserves all the backlash she gets from them. She has been their 'voice of reason' for their transphobia which harms our community. Its not surprising that they are slowly going to turn their backs on her. They were only ever just gonna use her to seem tolerant and then spit her out when being a full blown transphobe seems 'reasonable' enough.

I mean, she tries to pander to Conservatives for whatever reason, now she’s getting a taste of what they really think of her regardless of her desperate attempts to align herself with the party. They don’t care how anti-trans you are, you are still trans, and they will still treat her with the same lack of respect and dignity as they do all other trans individuals. Hopefully she gives it up and sees the light now.

No one deserves to be discriminated against, and those comments are disgusting. They're not even trying to make a point, they're just trying to be vile for likes.

 

On the other hand, what did she expect? A political party that was NEVER on board with non-hetero rights from the very beginning and was basically forced by public opinion to be "passive" on the subject and has been on an anti-trans tirade ever since 2017, did she expect that to never blow up in her face?

 

I think somewhere in public discourse there's a true argument about underage people getting hormonal treatment, or sometimes even GRS as young as 16 in some places, that it's too young to make those decisions, that a lot of people who manifest GD at early ages sometimes simply stop by the time they hit 16-17 and that maybe protocols should be less prone to physical solutions rather than just letting the individuals be. But none of these people are truly interested in that argument.
