This I mean no shade to Stephanie but Anita has double the amount of Top 40 hits she does (two and four respectively, lol).

 

Plus Anita's albums have done far better too.

I mean Top 40 speaks to a kind of mainstream ubiquity and if you are going to say "who?" about someone, you had better not make it about a singer with multiple mainstream hits and more successful, classic albums. But I agree stats doesn't really matter..and especially in the 1980s R&B stats do show a better view of where they were at in their careers.
