The six-time Brit Award winner has been hard at work on the record for months, fitting in recording sessions between sections of her tour last year.

Now she is finalising the collection, with the hope fans will get to hear new music before the end of this year.

A music insider said: “Dua’s third album is really personal to her and she has been hands on at every turn.

“She has spent hundreds of hours in the studio and has written on every song — that is really important to her.

As one of the biggest names in pop music, all of the most talented writers and artists have been vying to work with her.

“Dua has been very clear about her direction in keeping it upbeat and fun, but she will be a lot more revealing in her lyrics.

“The label are really excited about it and are planning a lengthy campaign on a whole new scale to maximise the music, so its release date is up in the air — especially until it is completed.

“But the plan is for fans to hear at least some new music from the record by the end of the year.”

Imagine the pressure she must be feeling 💀 How do you follow that era!?!?!?

By taking risks while still staying true to you are and becoming an absolute icon of Gen Z :fan:

She better promote the **** out of this album and i don’t want to see it tank and it better has bops

I love my fave Dua but I really I hope the album subverts expectations and outdoes FN critically/commercially, because we all know how flopping after a successful era has become the status quo nowadays

either way It will top my Last.fm charts in no time

It is going to be the LAP era  the Madonna of Gen Z, and we aren't ready to DEAL :jonny2:

It is definitely going to be a hard task to achieve though. I remember everyone thinking the album flopped after the first week sales came out, and look where we are three years later. It is the biggest pop era of the 2020s so far, so IDK, Dua will really have to blow it out of the park with this one.

Can't wait for another Dua album to be shoved down our throats for years

I know this is a hate comment, but as a stan, it feels so good knowing that whenever she starts the new era it's gonna last for years :jonny:

It makes the drought more bearable

I know Miss Lipa is about to make some Spotify playlist curators very rich this year. Lucky for them!  :jonny5:

what drought?

OT: I would like to see/listen!!

I don't think anything can top the Future Nostalgia era commercially and critically.

but I'm ready for queen to prove me wrong :clap3:

I hope the music is excellent, FN was such a huge step up for her artistry overall - but the total duds she put on The Moonlight Edition (minus TKOW and IIAM) were so generic and regressive. And let's not even talk about Good in Bed and Boys Will Be Boys.

Make sure every track is timeless, Dua

Can’t wait for you to seethe for another theee years :WAP:

I'm probably the only ATRL user that's not head-over-heels with Dua Lipa's music. That being said, Future Nostalgia was a solid pop album, but self-titled was pretty mid, to be honest. I'm more excited for Jessie Ware and Lana Del Rey's albums, but if I like the droplets for DL3, I'll be more hyped/excited.
