Travelling and getting around without internet for maps/google sounds a nightmare in 2023 though. I can't even remember the last time I saw a paper map for anything.

Oh god. I'm old enough to remember the days of navigating NYC with a paper map and using an atlas to help my dad navigate on a trip to Florida.  Amazing how quickly things have changed. It was kind of the wild west in a way... never knowing what traffic was going to be like and which route would be the fastest, etc.

Luckily, where I live, my family/friends/partner are all here, however, I LOVE Cali, and I would be absolutely devastated if I could never go back. 

 

On the opposite coin, we use the Internet for everything-- checking work emails, some of us work remote/hybrid, to shop, etc. 

 

I'd have to say stop traveling forever. Technically I could rent a summer house in Cali and remain where I'm at. Maybe that's the travel "loophole."

I'm pretty sure I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

 

I don't want to visit the bank each time I need to transfer some money. It would be fine if everyone agreed to stop using the internet, but I would be pretty impractical being the only one.

You can basically 'travel' all over the world with internet. I cannot see modern humans living without the internet tbh.. It's like water at this point
