Valentine Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 People are so dramatic and just want to see queen Marvel fail. Not gonna happen sweeties.
elevate Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 It's actually a bit embarrassing that it did so well in its first weekend. It was obviously a terrible film. Too much nostalgia and repetition lately. Congrats to Ms Banks for doing some damage with Cocaine Bear at least.
Dark Phoenix Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Yikes and I feel like GotG3 will finish around $700M and make less than WF and then Marvels with Brie and Kamala will also make like $750M. Kevin and Disney need to understand that the first time it paid off because they had interesting characters and Thanos seemed like a real threat, now after whatever they did in Phase 4 people just don’t care for Kang, the lazy shows and the new Avengers lineup.

DoctorIce Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Hopefully general audiences are finally getting bored of the same old Spandex'd, green screen'd, Disney Channel'd BS time after time after time. It's just so boring and tired. The McDonaldsification of the movie industry has been very sad to watch.
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Not Phase 5 becoming even more flop Jonathan Majors deserves better than this wtf

WoM is clearly bad for a bad film. I don't know why people are so scared to say it when the MCU puts out a meh film or an outright stinker like this. The whole Phase 4 or 5 feels like Feige completely lost the grip on what he should have been doing. Instead of trying to turn every movie into an event, we should be getting smaller stories, where the stakes are lower and you can get to know new characters, and not absolutely everything has to tie in into some bigger arc. If every movie "breaks the multiverse" or whatever the f**k, then eventually no one will care. My comment is not only about this movie but more general about the saga. If movies and tv series "look the same" seeing the movie at the teather can became less an event for people and most of the audience release after release could start to see the saga as something you see on D+ for the whole thing. So while biggest fans are going to avoid spoilers or whatever the audience you need to have more legs couldn't be there Edited February 27, 2023 by vale9001

BNF91 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Eeew the final numbers fell from estimates, both domestic (-$300k) and overseas (-$1M). The drops were slightly worse than estimates even suggested. So, so bad. $362M total.

Ms. Togekiss Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 my friends hated the movie. I thought it was okay, but I can see why it's becoming a colossal bomb. I still think its better than Dr Strange 2
Rence Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 Eternals and Thor got bigger numbers without China
BNF91 Posted February 28, 2023 Posted February 28, 2023 (edited) Holy s*** $1.7M 2nd Monday domestic.. Cocaine Bear was just $100k behind Disaster Edited February 28, 2023 by BNF91

its_britney_bitch Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 Please let this be the beginning of the end of Marvel and Disney’s reign of terror over cinema As someone who has never been a fan of superhero movies the last 10 years have been absolute hell They stopped making the type of movies I love and the only options for the most part became a $200 million budget assembly-line superhero “blockbuster” or some low budget pretentious awards bait while the movies inbetween just ceased to exist.
starsailor Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 These new MCU movies trying to be an event automatically reminds me that Lil Mama meme.
Young Volcanoes Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 feel bad for jonathan majors but this turd deserved to tank maybe if they started paying the people who work on these movies they wouldn't suck and flop
