popstar Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 The movie was sooo boring, just like Eternals, Black Widow and Thor L&T

vale9001 Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) Biggest Marvel mistake has been making the series for D+. If you want to make a tv series It has to be be a TV series...what i mean Is something like agents of shield..something with 18 episodes for season, with a season arch but also a plot for every single episode. Something that looks as a TV series also for the direction, acting and so on. Something different from cinema Most of them are like a 6 parts movie so people are starting to think i'm gonna wait for ant man on Disney plus like i'm doing for Loki 2. While I agree oversaturation is a problem, this is not the reason this movie failed. WoM is clearly bad for a bad film. I don't know why people are so scared to say it when the MCU puts out a meh film or an outright stinker like this. The whole Phase 4 or 5 feels like Feige completely lost the grip on what he should have been doing. Instead of trying to turn every movie into an event, we should be getting smaller stories, where the stakes are lower and you can get to know new characters, and not absolutely everything has to tie in into some bigger arc. If every movie "breaks the multiverse" or whatever the f**k, then eventually no one will care.

Still well in the red and with a $200M (likely a bit higher) budget, it needs to get to $500M at the very least, just to break even. With a $76M global wknd, I fear it may not have another $137M in it. If it does, it will crawl. Looks like it will be the lowest grossing Ant-Man movie, despite years of inflation, 3D ticket prices and "KANG, PHASE 5!". Abysmal. drag it

Elusive Chanteuse Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Not sure what's happening. Even Wakanda Forever underperformed.
LastKiss Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 People are TIRED They need to regroup and rethink this new phase
TheDreamer Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 So many movies AND tv shows, it's hard to keep up!

Guest Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 The MCU fatigue is real, they need to come up with something else and fire those rick and morty writers.
ALA Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 The movie was not good. The movie opening to over $100m still though doesn't indicate MCU is going down fast but they need to put out better movies.
