Ant-Man 3 fell 69.7 percent in North America, the worst decline ever for a title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after eclipsing Black Widow‘s 67.8 percent drop (the latter pic had the disadvantage of opening during the pandemic, and was made available simultaneously in the home).

Congratulations for having a worse drop than a movie that was released in the middle of lockdowns and was also available online :clap3:

It also tops BvS for worst second drop from a comic book movie.

A feat. :clap3:

And they said Taylor Swift’s “willow” had no impact :clap3:

She was breaking those fastest free fall records before it was trendy.

I never understood why this character got this many movies? I literally never heard of Antman till the movie came out. Where's the Scarlett Witch movie?

MCU, sister.

Suicide Squad is DC.

Morbius may be in the Spider-Man universe, but it's not part of the MCU

X-Men Dark Phoenix is NOT part of the MCU (Marvel didn't even own the rights when it was produced)

Hellboy 2 is not part of the MCU

All those movies had weak opening weekends though which is why nobody cares how badly they dropped in their second weeks. Quantumania opened to $100M and has dropped like a rock everywhere, which is rare for a big blockbuster.

It’s what they deserve after the past few years of right down disrespectfully bad content they put out.  Marvel really thought they could make a movie without real stories, development, real script, pacing/editing etc.

Audiences are catching on mr Kevin!

Only at $363M after opening to $225M :deadbanana4: straight up pathetic. Still well in the red and with a $200M (likely a bit higher) budget, it needs to get to $500M at the very least, just to break even.

With a $76M global wknd, I fear it may not have another $137M in it. If it does, it will crawl.

Looks like it will be the lowest grossing Ant-Man movie, despite years of inflation, 3D ticket prices and "KANG, PHASE 5!".

Abysmal.
