Would a Britney world tour sell out?

Featured Replies

I know its never going to happen, but if Britney Spears announced a world tour now, would it sell out? Would she be doing arenas or stadiums?

And what makes you think they will give you the answer you're looking for then and not drag her as they usually do? Screams trolling to me.

But music industry experts said that, should she want to return to touring, recording and marketing deals, she would quickly re-assert her place atop the pop charts and arenas.

A post-#FreeBritney comeback tour would be “as big as she wants it to be,” said Ray Waddell, president of Oak View Group Media and Conferences, the parent company of the touring-industry publication Pollstar. “I think we’ve barely scratched the surface as to how big Britney Spears can be as a live artist.”

“That’s big-league, and my opinion is she would do even better now,” Waddell said. “Spears could sell out major arenas around the world, and possibly stadiums. I can’t speak to all the noise around her, but Britney Spears is an untapped goldmine as a touring artist.

She could go out now and do $250-$350 million ticket sales on tour, and that’s conservative. There are a ton of variables, but the potential is definitely there.”

Waddell said he sees Spears on par with Madonna and Celine Dion as “culturally significant artists that can sell tickets and inspire extreme devotion from their fans over a long period of time, that transcend popular trends. If anything, Britney has become a bigger star over the last decade.”

it’s atrl babes

If she keeps it cute and realistic, small or medium-sized arenas could be perfect and not too risqué.

Didn't her '18 world tour sell out? I remember there was more pandemonium overseas than there was stateside for her tour. The world loves Britney.

10-12k arenas definitely. Touring has become bigger after the pandemic, people want to have fun again

That's one of the most ridiculous things I've read in a long time :bibliahh:

She's never been and never will be a big touring force, for obvious reasons (lip-synching to 20 year old vocals, stiff and weird choreography, not looking attractive anymore).

I don't know about the US or your little bubbles but at the end of the day, Britney is a globally adored icon. She is one of the biggest MPGs internationally and it can be testified by her latest world tour (Piece of Me tour) that crashed sites, broke records, and sold tickets in under 10 minutes. Britney has the largest attendance amongst Western female artists in the Tokyo Dome (18,000+), and 12 of her European dates in the POM world tour were sold out. It was the sixth highest-grossing female tour of 2018.

So yes, if we exclude the feelings of certain fanbases, the actual facts definitely show that a Britney world tour in a great touring market would sell out :clap3:

It's the same site that disrespects legends like Mariah Carey and Madonna, of all people. So we can't be surprised at ATRL serving clownery, the trademark of this site :priceless:

Maybe if she does arenas with ~10k capacity.

She has sold out arenas between the capacity of 11,000-40,000 though.

Probably. I'm tired of greatest hits though, even though that is what would sell as far as a world tour goes. I wish she got to perform songs she wanted to that were never singles.

Now THAT would be a tour I'd attend.

Like the last tour in arenas yes. Maybe select places in small baseball stadiums.

Her production stinks though. So cheap compared to her old tours. Next time she tours, she better go all out.

She isn't a Madonna level of touring force, but every time Britney toured; she never failed to have one of the highest-grossing tours of that year. By 2008, three of her tours were in the top 10 highest-grossing tours by female singers, and the market for touring expanded greatly afterward. Soon enough, you can see how her numbers kept up with the increasing touring standards over time as the Circus tour was in the top five best-selling female tours up till 2013 (also above her peers such as Beyonce during the 2000s).

not looking attractive anymore

Excuse ME? Attractive to who? She still and will always be a beauty, not that it should matter but facts are facts.

Britney will always be beautiful inside AND out.

I think that it would. After all the mess with Free Britney I am sure that the gp misses her and wants to see her.
