Gov Hooka Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) I hate “clubs” in general and I say that as a raver. “Raves” are where the true fun is but you have to like electronic music for that. Give me trance, techno, house, dubstep, DnB, hardstyle fans regardless of their sexual orientation dancing in a warehouse over a club playing normie music whether it’s for gays or straights anyday. I love happy hardcore music at raves. Where do u live that u get to go to warehouse raves? I'm jealous
BGKC Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I’ve worked at one and it’s a hard pass. There’s actually more drama. Like physically, there’s more fights and it’s riddled with girls who can’t handle their liquor. Nothings worse than fratty straights.
WERKER Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I personally can’t think of anything worse than going to a gay club and haven’t been to one in years. If I go out I just go to “normal” clubs and have never experienced anything negative based off my sexuality and have still had a great night every time and I say that as an effeminate man. Every time I’ve been to a gay club I’ve been harassed, overly sexualised and bothered all night when if I wanted to hook up at the time I’d have gone on Grindr instead. Most men at these places don’t take no for an answer and I’ve had multiple men try to go into cubicles with me, touch me or follow me home from gay spaces. I’ve never had this experience in a “normal” club. I’m from UK for reference.
One Rude Boy Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I can empathize if you enjoy Spotify's Sweet Caroline-radio on repeat for 4+ hours
MoonGoodandHappy Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 omg gurl i was thinking lately "why not going to straight club and try to pick some straight men", i have no luck with gay men. This topic makes me want to go right now.

The guys are hotter and it's usually different guys each time. At gay clubs it's the same tired people all the time. The bold faced lie. Str8 clubs are actually very dangerous. All the times I have been to str8 clubs there were massive fights between territorial men-children. I have also almost been assaulted twice because some men-children didn't like that I was so carefree and dancing with the girls on the dance floor. Str8 clubs are very different from ghey ones. In str8 clubs only the women do the dancing while the men-children prey on them from the side and are ready to beat you up if you even come close to the girl they want. They'll also beat you up if you come close to "their" area of the club. It's basically like dogs pissing somewhere to mark their territory and then defending it. Very primal. Also the music is much worse.
TaggedGalaxy Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 I hate clubs in general. But I hate constantly being hit on at gay clubs especially by creepy old guys
Homebrand Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 The question / statement literally just depends on the club, regardless if it’s a straight or gay club

Oh and this absolutely. I can hardly go to clubs these days after getting into the rave scene

I'm jealous Mid sized city in the US Midwest. Our parties are often enough and are usually dubstep (I prefer trance and techno tho). NYC and LA (Detroit, chicago, Bay Area, and Miami to lesser extents) def have thriving underground scenes with these kinds of parties a plenty. Ideally though I’d be in Amsterdam, London, or Berlin lol.
WEEKND Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 They are also a lot more expensive i only go there to hang with the drug dealers and snort free coke. a bottle is 450 like how?
Mirtilo Posted February 26, 2023 Posted February 26, 2023 Definetely no, lol. Straight guys fight all the time
Vertigo Stick Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 My experiences are the exact opposite. I have a lot more fun with around other alphabet people. I live in the US so the straights here are predictably aggressive. The best part was going with with straight girlfriends because guys would buy them and therefore me drinks
Hallad173 Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 They do play better music. More hip hop and club staples so I’ll give you that. The pop **** at gay clubs gets old fast. There’s only 1 or 2 here that have good drop that ass music on rotation. the rest of the spots are very circuit gay or basic twink pop vibes.
