Do you miss when artists promoted social issues through music?

Nope, because now in today’s culture they’d be called WOKE and wrote off.

Nah. Give us more 1993-2016 pure pop. That was truly the golden era of music. I’m

It never stopped, since 2016 it's kinda bigger than what it was before. Some of them go under the radar, others get backlash and others are well received.

No. Don't get me wrong, when it's done well, it's really good (see: Rhythm Nation, What's Going On, To Pimp a Butterfly, Lemonade).

But most of the times it's either extremely corny (We Are the World) or whatever the hell Do They Know It's Christmas was. :rip:

THANK YOU:clap3: ! & there is soo much more! Like …. Do ppl do research before posting nonsense (sabrina voice) :rip:. Just because you only listen to generic music doesn’t mean artists aren’t releasing music with a message OP!

:cm: Excellently put.

It kills me that "Do They Know It's Christmas?" still gets so much play every festive season despite everything wrong about its lyrics and attitude. To think George Michael contributed to both one of the best and absolute worst Christmas songs of all time. Gotta stan the range...I guess? 😄

Hasn’t that being over-saturated over the last decade?

Honestly at some point it started to come-off as opportunistic and not genuine.

Some artists obviously had good intentions but in recent years it came off as try hard.

I won’t mention artists to avoid arguments but there are some very obvious examples.

I like when artists do this. It feels like many are too scared to speak out now which is sad.
