The HOLD this song had on me back then 

i was obsessed… it’s funny bc looking back, that music video is SO 2013, even up to the makeup style! it gives me nostalgia. 

The intro served potential then it turned into a generic pop rock song

Since you’re mentioning the music video, I still don’t understand the imagery Demi tried to serve with the visuals 10 years later…

 

Why is she immersing themselves in a black substance towards the end of the video ? What’s with the black covered hands while they’re wearing a white outfit.

my thoughts exactly! haha not a jab at Demi, i think she’d watch it and feel the same. i’m sure if she made this music video now, it’d be soooo different.

Maybe she thought the black imagery would add edginess for the music video of pop rock song. Who knows haha ?

The demo instrumental was better but it definitely fit Demi’s vocals. Wish she’d have at least kept the same arrangement during the chorus and the different lyrics during the second verse.

I loved it a lot at the time, but I've grown a bit sick of it. I actually prefer Made In The USA and Neon Lights to this.
