With less tracking time, Renaissance (#17) has managed to outrank Chromatica (#18) on the IFPI Global Album Chart for 2022. The latter had half a year of tracking as well as 3 singles. Does this come as a surprise to you? 

No surprise, but both ladies are great. Gaga and Bey are two SUPERSTARS with actual talent.

No I’m not shocked. Gaga’s last 3 studio albums did not do that good compared to Beyoncé’s.

Chromatica - 12 years into Gaga’s career

 

Gaga should be doing a lot better than Beyoncé at this point in her career yet she isn’t.

4 months of tracking vs 6. The fact remains that Renaissance was bigger in every metric despite no visuals and less singles.

Renaissance is the better album by the more talented artist.

I was told this was because of Chromatica and not ASIB 

Had I bought into the lies of a certain fanbase, I would probably be shocked by this. But thankfully I knew better than to listen to them!

Is it really a mid off if one of the artists has been around for 25 years and still can be in the Top 20 with just 6 months of tracking That’s not something you see everyday. No comment on the other one.
