Miley's constant re-invention has helped with her longevity. Agree?

This flopping for 10 years narrative is genuinely insane.

Bangerz, 2013, iconic era.

Dead Petz, 2015, a free, non-promoted, no radio singles, basically mixtape, experimental psychedelic pop record.

Younger Now, 2017, Malibu platinum in 14 countries, multiple x platinum in 6 countries, 700m streams on spotify, Top 10 (Top 5 if released on a Friday), went viral 2x on tiktok. The album flopping is really the only flop that makes sense. (She ditched the album the second she saw the second single's first week lol and I don't blame her.)

She Is Coming, 2019, a literal 6 song EP that still went top 5 on BB200 in an era where most of the time more tracks = higher sales figures. Also has some of her fanbase cult classics like D.R.E.A.M.

Plastic Hearts, 2020, Moderate success in US, 2 Top 10 hits in the UK, most importantly re-shaped her image enough to smash now.

Miley has never been irrelevant or a flop since the beginning of her career and always conjured up a moment even on her less successful albums ('Can't Be Tamed' from CBT, 'Malibu' from YN, 'Mother's Daughter' from SIC, which is literally used as a women's rights theme song worldwide).

And sometimes she decides she wants to flop because music not the bling. Dead Petz and her versatility is a clear testament of this. She's always been ahead of her time and now everyone is (hopefully) finally catching up.

You hit the nail on the head! Let them run with their narrative tho

Makes their faves' achievements pale in comparison when a "flop for a decade" swoops in and crushes them :fan:
