It's nice hearing this very reasonable, nuanced take from someone who's not a Kim stan (like me) because I think it holds more weight and lets the crazed OKHs/Doja/Kesha stans know that their tricks and delusions have quickly crumbled away. More people are on Kim's side regardless of if they're even fans of the girl, especially after Unholy and her Grammy win. Their issue should solely be with Luke. Not Kim. And if you're so concerned with his continued success in the industry (thanks to Doja, singularly) then you'd stop streaming any and every song he's produced. Hating a trans woman might make you feel better but it doesn't and hasn't changed a damn thing.

Doja Cat is nowhere near in the same situation as Kim Petras, let's get that out of the way.

 

Luke is contractually obligated to be on the credits for x amount of songs per album judging by Kesha's Kemosabe Records contract, which is also a contract Doja Cat has. 

He also is able to take credit for songs he had no part in writing / producing (Kiss Me More writing credit for example) thanks to some publishing loophole or w/e. 

 

Kim Petras signed to his new imprint Amigo Records in 2022.

 

They are not the same.

I think it‘s quite likely they give him credit without actual involvement so that Doja Cat is not in breach of the song requirement you mentioned and therefore does not get sued for breach of contract (like Kesha still is).

Because a person with a functioning brain would look for the job at that age get a normal life instead of defending predators 24/7 on the internet, it's obsession and it's lazyness that you should be ashamed off. Okay Alfred. 

It's literally impossible to hold a decent conversation about the subject of Kim Petras and Dr. Luke on this forum. Its threads always derail into complete and utter bullshit takes spewed from both sides. Then come the usual members flooding the pages with posts that have barely anything to do with the matter at hands, only seeing an opportunity to lash at each other because of mutual hatred. What even is the point of allowing them to be made? 

 

Anyway, this is yet another stupid PR answer that had nothing to do with the question and it's neither shocking nor surprising in the slightest. It's obvious that Republic have been trying their hardest to distance her from the man they allowed back into the industry with open arms since it didn't pay off.

I think people just don't really get it from Kim's perspective. It's not like she could just pick and choose any producer she wanted whilst trying to make it as a singer. She was clearly given a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with an impactful and majorly successful producer and she took it. Clearly she's built a working relationship with him and I do understand why it'd be hard for her to just completely cut him of her life because of his situations with Kesha. He has literally helped with her career in so many ways and without him we probably would have never heard of her at all.
