This is your biggest hit, and first major one without Dr. Luke as a collaborator. People have questioned your working relationship with him. Do you see “Unholy” as a chance to move past it?

I’ve always been a songwriter. Anything I’ve done, I’ve been a big part of writing. I’ve always collaborated with different people and producers. Luke is the one person people like to pick out and be like, “This is obviously who has to write all of this girl’s music because she can’t be talented and that’s a big name.” But I am here because I’m good at writing, and I do my sh-t.

at least she’s aware

The way she twisted the question to act like the problem we all have is that we believe she can’t write without Dr. Luke. That was never the problem. We absolutely know she can, that’s why we’re asking why she chose to :deadbanana: she’s sneaky but not sneaky enough!

She is hilarious

I’m not Kim sympathizer but what answers are you guys looking for exactly? If she said something to the tune or “Dr Luke was not found guilty or convicted of any charges” you guys would still drag her so it’s a lose lose situation.

Miss "I have nothing to be ashamed of" is a joke

This non answer after she already has gone out of her way to disparage Kesha’s accusations. What a rat

Then write your music without Luke if you can do it :michael:

It’s almost as if the right thing to do is not work with him at all :clown:

But ATRL doesn’t care about Doja Cat working with him? Because she’s stanned quite hard here.

Regardless, plenty of artists still work with him. But people go very in on Kim, almost as if there’s some weird satisfaction from ATRL in bashing a trans woman. For all we know, she might be under a contract (much like Kesha was) to work with him for x amount of projects.

It’s as if y’all lack any critical thinking skills and just want to tear her down. Why?

Idk what you guys expect from her, Luke wasn’t convicted of anything and she has a pleasant relationship with him. I believe Kesha, but it’s not hard to understand that a person would believe their friend especially when he was found not guilty in court.

When will people understand that this lawsuit is not remotely over, he could not have been "found guilty" of anything because there has not even been a trial yet and Dr. Luke stopped prosecuting Kesha's emotional abuse allegations years ago, so he effectively conceded those are true (regardless of whether you believe he ALSO drugged and raped her).

The story—as has been explained ad nauseam, and yet people still ask as some sort of “gotcha” for some reason—with Doja is that she’s contractually obligated to work with Luke and that she signed with him before the allegations against him went public. I have no way of knowing whether this is true because we are not privy to her contract, but as far as anyone knows, Doja’s situation is completely different from Kim’s, who has freely and unabashedly worked with Luke from the get-go. Kim was not signed to Luke’s imprint when she started working with him (which was after Kesha’s allegations went public; in fact, it’s been argued several times that Luke probably only started working with a trans artist as a PR maneuver, a trick you seem to be readily falling for)

A better argument would be to bring up Nicki, who’s not signed to Luke and worked with him as recently as last year on Super Freaky Girl. And to be honest, most people really don’t support that decision of Nicki’s. But the reason that Kim gets more backlash is that she’s repeatedly tried defending Luke, and gone as far as to passively accuse Kesha of lying.
