Lemonade was treated poorly from a singles standpoint.  Formation wasn't even available for streaming or purchase for months

No need to hope. It's still doing around 2m 4months after being pushed as a single. And as the song never peaked especially high (3m) it's been extremely stable.

It's already had more longevity than BMS. What are her standards? Because the song was released four months ago as a single and it's still stable on Spotify.

hm... RENAISSANCE is the first solo album of her career that was available on Spotify within the first year of its release (her last album took three years to appear there).

CUFF IT getting 400 million streams without so much as a performance or video to help sell the song isn't just "not bad", it's great.

 

Saying "her solo standards" as if she has not largely done the least for her singles out of any mainstream pop-star since Prince says a lot, too. There is no other popstar who has released their lead single for free, not sent it to radio, not put it on iTunes, not put it on streaming, and kept the music video "private" for nine months and yet we are acting like her lack of solo success in the last decade was solely due to no one caring about her music.

 

The fact is she gave CUFF IT and BREAK MY SOUL a head start that no main project solo single of her's has had since 2014 (with 7/11 and before that...2011): a wide release.
