I’m not going to have kids, but I wonder if there’s really any effective way of limiting what they see.
 

As soon as kids have phones they have access to everything. Seems like most people are fine with ten year olds have phones now. 

Good luck keeping your kids from seeing what they want when they are teenagers

I mean that's true and all , but I guess Youtube Kids could kinda keep them at bay for bit (until they figure that out ). Plus NO (hypothetical or maybe future) kids is have their own smartphone  (until high school at least). 

 

The OP is moreso about who you would, in your power, not introduce your (future) kids to voluntarily.

They can see them in other homes, at school... The first time I saw p0rn, for example, was when I was 11 years old, at a cousin's house. And that was in the early 2000s. Nowadays it's much easier 

i don't want kids but if i did I wouldn't be very strict on music. my parents weren't at all and i turned out fine.

for example, i would let them listen to all of these. unless it was a song like WAP then no. i would just be judgemental if they had questionable taste in music.

Im not going to be a slowflake/Karen kids are gonna watch and if you tell them no they will do it more.

 

I got to watch south park as long as it was with them they told me no to the movie but I snuck and watched it anyways.  Same with R rated movies.

 

As long as I'm with them to explain I'm not gonna stop them from watching stuff
