It feels so juvenile and ruins the flow

The jokes weren't funny, I took the money My friends from home don't know what to say

But.. she’s literally writing how she felt as a teenager experiencing heartbreak and developing ambitions outside of love for the first time ever. The juvenile lyrics are intentional. The song is literally about her experience as a kid leaving home and entering the music industry.

Never understood the hard disdain for this re-worked bridge. While the lyrics don't exactly match the sound, because the instrumentation still sounds quite sad and longing, I love how she wanted this song (and others) to have a more happier message. How can singing with the son of John Lennon not be a blissful moment? Especially for someone like Lana. I have so much respect for her for this record, just for the mere fact that the final versions paint a brighter picture in comparison to some of their demos.  She said stop being depressed! And it worked.
