Are you surprised? Has there been a SB Halftime Show so successful in so many different categories before??

Nope.

Can't be. ATRL told me it was a career ending disaster, and we all know ATRL is always right.

 

As a longtime stan I was disappointed with the overall presentation but in terms of numbers, not surprised at all. Her star power and having one of the best pop catalogs of all time was guaranteed to do numbers.

No and ATRL lost again but no surprise there

Rihanna smashing after being gone for 6 years and performing in front of 120M people, who would've thought. Still a bad performance.

A long wait doesn't guarantee success (ex: Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera)

 

The Superbowl doesn't guarantee success (ex: Latina Legend JLO, Maroon 5, last years headliners)

 

The performance was fine. It's not going to be talked up as one of the greatest ever but the way ATRL was reacting, you'd think it was a career ending disaster 

Some ATRL users are literally crying in their trailer house because they can’t see her win this much

The choreography being so simple and basic that it can be replicated by baseball players for a novelty gimmick

Only on ATRL was the performance talked up as the worst thing ever lol....critics praised it, the public ate it up and streamed her whole catalog and couldn't get over her hits, the performance had tons of viral moments, celebs and her peers fawned over it l. The way she always wins lol

I understand u putting viewership numbers,spotify increases etc

but viral makeup,dance? no numbers to even indicate it.

Only the "fashion" is a thing, but then u can say that FashionNova were trying to get some quick buck obviously

It's a great performance. She is the antidiva. Doesn't need to replicate the same generic pop girl performance with explosives choreos, ego attitude and brilliant and femenines outfit. 

 

A packed jam with fashion appeal. Chill attitude and her charisma was enough for the GP. I loved from the first time I watched. 

I legit love Rihanna and was so excited for the performance, but I don't think it's a stretch to say that a lot of regular fans were bummed with how it turned out. She has so many hits and is one of the biggest stars in the world, so no matter what it couldn't be bad. But it just was disappointing IMO compared to the usual grandeur and effort of some of the other female pop stars at the Super Bowl
