Thank you Kelly Clarkson (and Avril), for giving me the strength I need to be brave

"I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly"

I never thought the day would come where I would find the strength to break through and find my own path. I was someone who was always scared. Scared of myself. Scared of the world. Scared of taking risks. I liked to be safe and comfortable. I did. But one day I was going for a walk and Breakaway came on. That one lyric just sparked something in my soul. "It is time you carve your own path, Pikachoo. it is time you spread your own wings and fly." I could no longer live in the fear of my shadows. the fear of judgment. I needed to take a damn risk! So now, I am finally moving out. I will be living on my own, in a cozy 2 bedroom apartment. I will be starting therapy as well, to deal with the trauma and insecurities I face. Insecurities you ask? That I'm ugly. That I am not worthy of love. that people laugh about me behind my back. I will overcome these doubts. I will find love. I will live MY own authentic life. no more closets for me. (except my new walk in closet hehehehe). I will travel the world like I always wanted to. does this change scare me? yes it does. but then I take a deep breath and listen to Breakaway one more time, and the strength I need to double down on my decision comes back to me. "Though it's not easy to tell you goodbye I gotta take a chance take a risk make a change and breakaway". Thank you Kelly Brianne Clarkson. Thank you.

Make sure to put it on twitter and @  them. Extremely poignant and important posts such as this is why twitter is expanding the character limit even further :clap3:

Your post made my day, thank you!

Happy to hear :clap3:

People may laugh, but Roar by Katy Perry did help me survive my most depressed period in 2013.

The power of KFC (Kelly F*coin’ Clarkson) :clap3:

Where did you live before your new 2-bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, Pikachoo?
