Jude Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Who cares, though. It's an MCU movie. We are watching it no matter what. Already bought 2 iMac 3d tickets.
99sandthe2000s Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I'm here for KANG critics, and RT scores will have no impact on Marvel Fanboys (girls, etc.)
Gorjesspazze9 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Don’t know why people act like they can’t just watch another movie🤣 “Stop with Comicbook movies” how about you go out and support the films you want to see in theaters and then maybe that genre can become as popular as comicbook films As far as the critic score, ok? The audience score is still gonna be in the 80% at the end of the day and RT don’t even effect Blockbuster anyways. This movie is gonna make major profit. We all know this.

BODERLINE Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 I'll never understand how Eternals got a rotten score. It's a great movie. As someone who doesn't care much about Marvel in general, it's one of the few I actually really enjoy.
Rachel Berry Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The leaked script was pretty bad, although I heard they changed one of the post movie credit scenes. I imagine it’ll still do fine box office wise. That being said, justice for Eternals!
M!X Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) I have been into Marvel movies (I was always fan of the comics lore/ video games) for couple of years now and I have been watching every single one in the movies but around End Game it just feels like the movies have been getting worse and worse, like I am not saying the had some groundbreaking Oscar worthy plots but they were servicable, now outside of maybe 2-3 movies everything is just pure nonsense, I would say I first noticed this during GotG2/Antman 2/Thor 3 like I recall not enjoying these at all as the plots were garbage and then this new phase is just a MESS, I adored Homecoming but far from home was just boring/bad and outside of fan service same can be said for the last one, Wakanda Forever was sooooo boring, Love and Thunder was pure SHITe, Black Widow also kinda cringe. Eternals and Shang were actually okay and breath of fresh air but they also had issues/cringe moments I would say the only one I truly enjoyed was Dr Strange/Multiverse and Wandavision if that counts but yeah it feels like money is now the only reason they are making these, with 0 desire to make a fun superhero movie as they just overdid it Edited February 15, 2023 by M!X
BNF91 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Is the budget $250M again like Wakanda Forever? If so, a $255M global debut definitely won't cut it. Given the natural frontloadedness of MCU nowadays (even the very well received Wakanda Forever fell -63% in 2nd wknd, with these reviews Ant-Man will fall just as hard if not harder). It'll scrape by $600M WW with that kind of opening... That's not profit territory, more like -$50M in the red.
Baby Judas Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 The last Thor and Dr Strange deserve a Rotten as well.
Sexyzinger Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 living for the McDonalds of Hollywood crashing and burning with each film.
Miles. Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Ahhh, it's so nice to see Marvel finally crashing back to Earth. It's such a relief that their movies are no longer an EVENT, and are now treated as the quarterly slogs that they are. Most of the people I know who used to be obsessed with the MCU hated the latest Thor and Dr Strange movies, and aren't even watching their TV shows. And LMAO at people claiming there's some sort of anti-Marvel conspiracy If anything it's the opposite. Their RT scores have been inflated for over a DECADE. The fact that they never had a negative score despite releasing countless tedious formulaic bloated soulless BORES is hilarious. The only difference now is that there aren't as many deranged Marvel fanboys so (some) critics are willing to FAIRLY review the films.

Gui Blackout Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 At least half their movies deserves a rotten, but critics always sugarcoated them. So you know this one is BAD bad

Soon more will join the party i fear OT: cant believe im being forced to see the first two just to go see this mess in theaters in a few days
Blade Runner Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 Blessed the LORD.
Hephaestus Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 This is a completely fine movie and if Thor Love & Thunder got a fresh tomato, this should've gotten one as well. As usual, critics are doing way too much because now it's "cool" to sh*t on Marvel movies
Robert Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Antman is the most mid Marvel franchise. I don’t know why they keep pushing it.
Virgos Groove Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 It's about damn time. The MCU panning should've started a couple of years ago tbh, but I guess they still had goodwill from Endgame.

SinnerCity Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Wait what? Phase five has got quite a rough start, and I thought this was going to be epic. Will definitely watch it on Sunday though
BNF91 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Yup this is flopping. China even worse than I thought. Maoyan forecast is only projecting a $21M debut/$46M total there now. By far the lowest gross in China for the series. Between just Korea and China, Quantumania will be down about $100M from Ant-Man 2 looks like $600M is not happening anymore even. Hollywood Reporter is indicating that Disney/Marvel execs already meeting up to discuss delaying their upcoming MCU slate.. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/marvel-star-wars-tv-shows-movies-slowdown-1235326681/ I can see why tbh. Because after Guardians of the Galaxy 3, they're gonna be in for a rough time keeping audiences interested.
Relampago. Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I mean, it’s probably a meh movie but Marvel movies were never AMAZING so idk why everyone’s switching up on them now. They’re just mindless fun in a world where that’s hard to get nowadays.
kandicha Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 i liked the first ant-man but the second one was so disappointing.

The story just flowed, and the characters were always very likable. Phase 4 movies all felt like they were being made on a time crunch and the characters introduced so far aside from Yelena have been unmemorable.
