Space Cowboy Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Eternals didn’t deserve to be rotten btw

Blue. Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Antman is the second worst series in the franchise so I am not surprised. Stakes always are minimal and their powers and storylines are somewhat redundant. What is worrying though is that the lineup follows with THE worst series in the franchise which is GOTG so hopefully whatever TV series they have lined up for before and after better be palate pleasers.
D_Man3379 Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Welp, at least Chloe Zhao is no longer alone in directing a rotten reviewed MCU film.
Gossip_Boy Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 If it drops below flopternals… Love Jonathan but the trailer did not look all that promising if I’m being honest. Still watching for him tho.
Rhythm Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 It’s bizarre to me how strongly Hollywood is pushing this anti-Marvel agenda to the point where it almost seems taboo to enjoy the films openly anymore. I can definitely see the franchise falling out of grace completely over the next decade. It’s such misplaced disparagement and the discourse of the genre as a whole is petty and ridiculous enough to drive me to tears laughing. Don’t know if this one was genuinely sh*tty or not, but Eternals definitely didn’t deserve a rotten score.
Bhabylon Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 See what happens when you lack artistic integrity and talent?
Da Vinci Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 Wasn't this supposed to be the debut of the next Thanos aka Kang and to build up to Avengers 5: The Kang Dynasty?

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 MCU fatigue is truly happening in real time

cockatoo Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I mean it was inevitable critics would get tired of these films eventually.
Blue Monday Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 The tide is finally turning I fear. Hopefully box office performance starts to follow. These McMarvel movies are so tired now

Save for some comments in interviews with directors and actors, the industry is not pushing back. Edited February 14, 2023 by Blue Monday
Arcadius Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I will say the fact that after 15 years and like 800 movies this is only the second rotten just shows how dominant they’ve been.
