Have :gaycat6: and :gaycat7: been lowkey flops compared to their predecessors?

Ok, so I am only talking about the CLASSIC line of gaycat emojis., no popstar variations included.

 

I feel like  and are downright unmemorable and unusable. 6 feels like a flop version of 2 and both of 6 and 7 are easily replaceable by any of the deadbanana variants.

Do you think the ATRL gaycat emoji franchise will return to its former glory in the future and will we ever have something as iconique as ?

If anything, I feel that the opposite is true. Maybe it's because I only pay attention to a few members and don't really care about the rest, but from my observations,  and  are used a lot more often that and the rest of the gang now. ( Especially , this one seems to be underused these days.)

 

Overall, I think the use of the gaycat icons is lower than before (as compared to 2 years ago).

None of them are funny tbh. There's like a hundred or more variations yet only the original heels gaycat is even remotely iconic, and most folks don't even use it anymore anyways.
