January of 2020 says hello. I doubt we will actually reach a full fledged global conflict. we all thought we were actually going to have world war 3 then and it didn’t happen.

Yes I’m prepared to intervene and  stop it

I've stopped trying to save money years ago. :toofunny3:

Going to do everything I want before we're all turned into a gas

Reminds me of the iconic "boiling.. as in turning into a gas" or sth like that :toofunny3:

OT: I think if that happens and my country is involved. I will try to go hide in the forest or somewhere rural :dancehall2:

If it happens, it happens. Not much I can do. If we're all going to die, well, I've had some good times and some awful ones. If it's going to end it's going to end. I won't get upset over something I can't control.

War is not necessary for technological advancement. It can speed it up because governments dump a lot of money into R&D during intense wartime. Sure. But, trying to justify war as if it's a net good in terms of technological advancement is really displaced and unsound.

It's not justification, it's honesty. People shouldn't have to suffer in the name of progress, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in. We turn a blind eye to the horrors that people go through everyday just so that we can type this out on our phones and computers. And it's a FACT that our modern technology would not be anywhere near where it is today without the world wars, this next one will absolutely do the same thing. I'm not justifying anything, nor do I actually want anyone to go through this but it might ultimately be the better option than continuing as normal. It's a ****** situation and I hate that we've reached this point.

Can the world leaders just kill each other and leave the rest of the world alone?

Like Idk what kind of idiot would go and risk their life for a country in a stupid war.

Honestly we are just a bunch of humans with imaginary borders fighting each other.

It’s all really fake.

I don’t think WWIII if it ever happens will look like the other ones

Stop it, doomers. WWIII is not happening. :toofunny3:

No matter how psychotic some of these world leaders are, none of them are going to start a war because it means mutually assured destruction.

It’s felt like “it’s about to happen” like 10 times in the past 6 yrs alone, thing escalate and then die down. It’s just the way it is. Again, WWIII is not going to happen anytime soon.

Some of y'all need to read less Tom Clancy novels

World war 3 will never happen, at least in the sense of the kind of war that the first 2 world wars were. Huge, large scale wars like that are a thing of the past. With technology and the way the world works these days, wars are fought very differently. This nonsense about world war 3 is coming, the end of the world, we're all gonna be nuked and die blah blah blah are nonsense. It's a very different time than the 40's and a war like that will never happen now.

Side one: Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Belarus

Potentials: OPEC countries, Belt and Road countries

Side two: US, NATO, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, Israel

Potentials: India, Vietnam

Wild cards: Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Indonesia

This is what it's looking like right now imo

Not this cold war era philosophy. Nukes will be used but the will be isolated tactical/smart weapons that attack strategic locations..... And yes it's happening... This decade

who cares atp :dies: if it’s not WWIII it’ll be some new disease, economic collapse, some other war, climate change, AI takeover… what can you do ?

as long as it happens after my Renaissance date i’ll be fine

AI will be a major factor in this war, as are drones, Lazer technology, and cyber attacks. I also believe renewable energy will see major advancements as global supply chains will be severely disrupted

I stay ready so I don't have to get ready

Honestly nobody can say anything for sure either way. First it was “coronavirus is not a concern” and then bam global pandemic, then it was “Russia won’t invade Ukraine” and then bam full fledged war in a matter of days. These are wild times and frankly anything could happen; there’s no certainty either for peace or chaos… so we’ll just have to continue walking the line.

This is a great video for those who have doubts, something to think about

If every time there could've been a WW3 we indeed had one, we'd be at WW47 by now. It's not happening.

WW3 won't be coming anytime soon, unless countries start vying for a Multi-Polar world i.e China, Russia, U.S.  So get ready gurls, war is brewing on the horizon. More countries are moving away from the concept of U.S hegemony.

Am I ready? No
