I didn’t expect it would be THAT near :rip: it’s like you’re sleeping right next to it

Nearby? Absolutely, no question. I love visiting cemeteries. That situation though?? No way :deadbanana2:

One of the childhood houses I lived in was next to one. It wasn’t right on the cemetery like that, but it was across the street. It was actually really pretty because there was a lot of beautiful trees that vibrantly changed color during spooky season. It was an otherwise urban environment, so to have that across the street was peaceful.

Why would they allow to build residential houses NEXT to a cemetery :toofunny2: Not even a road is separating the house from the cemetery :skull:

To answer your question, NO — the smell alone lol

My best friend lives in front of a cemetery and when I go there I don't even think of it, so yes

Absolutely. That house looks so nice. I'd move in in a heartbeat.

I think the issue in this case is not the fact of being "near" a cemetery but it's basically your garden with no physical separation, it's not even fair to the people that go visit there privacy wise.

Where I live cemeteries have high walls, you can't see the inside if you're not inside, there are some rules of construction and there is at least a street or garden areas separating from the near houses, so like that it's not an issue at all for me.

Yes I would live near a cemetery, but literally IN the cemetery like that house? Nope

Nearby yes, I just don't want it to be visible from my house.

I’ve been to the cemeteries and they all smell bad, maybe because they don’t get cleaned a lot lol

In theory sure but in actuality, no.

And not because of the dead bodies/potential smells/ghost/etc. reasons one would typically give but because relatives and loved ones like to visit graves and I don't want people around my house all the damn time :coffee2:

That house isn't near a cemetery, it's inside one. :skull: If that were the case then probably not but if it's just really close to it then yeah, of course.

The people living in cage homes in Hong Kong would buy this without the blink of an eye. I wouldn’t. It goes to show the amount of land literally being wasted on human burials.

ok but i'd be hosting halloween parties every year

the house is ugly tho

Yes it is. Why would you dedicate a piece of land solely for a human individual to be buried in for all eternity? At least houses can be bought and sold and rebuilt for newer generations…

Not that close but I lived in an apartment across the road from a cemetery in uni and it was a really nice student flat.
