Demi was not in shambles in the TMYLM era.

Career wise Demi was NOT in shambles when Demi signed with Scooter. It all went downhill from there.

He devotes attention to his biggest stars. Although the way he tried to make Tori Kelly happen was admirable. There was a good period of time when she was booking every award show and performance. :gaycat6:

He did a good job with Demi initially, booking her Grammy solo performance and SB anthem. It went downhill after ILM tho. It may be because of her label not supporting her anymore.

Duh but this doesn’t answer the question.

He snatches talent off the market coaxing them to believe they’ll be successful under him only for him to abandon them for JB & Ari. Kind of a smart way to eliminate competition tbh

He's not God. No one can save Demi's career. It's never taken off

This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Scooter Braun has always done an exceptional job at finding and establishing artists’ niche where they are able to find success.

Tori Kelly is the perfect example. He pushed Tori for the pop scene, but she didn’t find much success there. The audience wouldn’t buy it. Therefore, he pushed her to the gospel - Christian scene where she was able to find massive success and she won numerous GRAMMYs in result.

He didn't need to save it, he just needed to maintain it.

Demi was in shambles during the TMYLM era. Her second single didn’t do well, she had a cancelled tour, got dropped by her managment and almost died of an overdose. Her image was in shambles by that point.

the problem with Demi is no matter how good her music is people will hate her due to her past and her questionable things she says. Then add to the fact she doesn’t want to make commercial pop anymore. She’s not going to sell well. Her image is almost beyond repair at this point

He does a good job at booking the right gigs for his clients, but at the end of the day it’s the GP who decides whether or not they want the product he pushes.

look at Demi. She had all this massive promo, and time after time after time after time the GP said, “no thanks I’m good”

Carly is not a flop. Read her interview prior to Emotion. She and Scooter were aware that she was not cut as a “pop girl”, and Call Me Maybe was probably a one hit wonder. So instead of chasing after another, they decided to make her an album artist and build a dedicated fan base. Her career turned from what could have been a one hit wonder to now a beloved gay icon and critics darling. And it also suits her lifestyle as she never wants to be famous.

Personally, Demi was in shambles bc of the overdose. Yet career wise it was the complete opposite.

Demi was the 8th artist with the most listeners on Spotify, #1 female artist at one point. If you're talking about TMYLM, it's a ballad that was overshadowed by Sorry Not Sorry and was not radio material, idk why you expected a soulful ballad like that to be a hit anyway. Daddy Issues and Games were literally screaming to be follow up singles, and could've been hits EASILY if they were given a chance and the era was not cut short.

Demi completed the USA and European legs of the TMYLM Tour and grossed amazingly. Comprising 43 dates, the tour grossed $64.1 million and had a total attendance of 481,795.

Solo was a smash hit in 2018 even after Demi was in the hospital, peaking #1 in 17 countries across Europe, going Diamond in several.  Same thing for Echame La Culpa in Latin America, with similar stats. Sorry Not Sorry dominated the Americas, ELC Latin America, and Solo Europe and Oceania.

Demi was extremely powerful and had plans to release another album that year. Even Sober debuted #47 with just a lyric video and was just a ballad about addiction.

Say My Name was about to be released with David Guetta and J Balvin, along with other singles planned like Who Do You Love with the Chainsmokers. A lot was being scheduled.

Demi was just getting started when the overdose had cut everything short.

What promotion? Playlisting? Radio promotion? Cause that has been non existent.

29 and Cool for the Summer went viral organically recently and we saw nothing being done for them...

I don't think Scooter is one of the reasons why Demi is struggling. Not only she had critical health issues during/after TMYLM era, but she's also signed to one of the worst labels right now.

There's not much to do if you don't have the label on board to support your plans. On top of that, Demi doesn't care about pop music anymore. You can tell she was over it the second Dancing... was released. I know Holy **** is loved by her fans, but let's be real, that's not the type of music selling right now. There isn't much left to do.
