Genre is where women can really succeed and hold an audience,” Gellar said. “Every time a Marvel movie tries to do a female cast, it just gets torn apart… Unfortunately, audiences weren’t as accepting. There’s still this mentality of ‘the male superhero,’ this very backwards way of thinking.”

Black Widow and Scarlet Witch are the only ones that get constant praise so Sarah isn't wrong, the MCU has got a male predominant audience but I have faith Agatha and The Marvels will finally give the women their overdue flowers. 

 

I don't see Sarah joining the MCU though

It’s not happening anymore. The writer said a few months ago that it’s back in limbo.

The Marvels comes out this year and it'll have like 3 female characters uniting together as a team. Hopefully, it'll be really good.
