Arcadius Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) Quote Amazon Prime's The Boys outperforms all of Marvel Studios' Disney+ series to become 2022's most-watched superhero program, according to Nielsen stats. Marvel Studios may dominate the superhero genre on the big screen, but Amazon Prime wears television's superhero crown as The Boys was 2022's most popular superhero show. According to the Nielsen ratings, audiences watched 10.6 billion minutes of Amazon Prime's The Boys, the 11th most-watched original streaming show of 2022. Taking the top spot on the list is Netflix's Stranger Things with 52 billion minutes watched, followed by fellow Netlfix shows Ozark (31.3 billion), Wednesday (18.6 billion), Cobra Kai (16.7 billion) and Bridgerton (14 billion) to round out the top five. Netflix dominates Nielsen's list of top 15 streaming originals, taking 13 spots, including the top 10. Amazon Prime's The Boys and Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the latter of which sits in 15th place with 9.4 billion minutes watched, are the only non-Netflix properties on the list. Johnny Jacobs Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 As it should Its so good and original tbh.. Marvel shows aint sh**. Wanda was the only good show so far
shinyshimmery Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 The Boys is so overrated. Season 1 was okay and interesting... then it went completely downhill afterwards.
Bhabylon Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Good Marvel needs to stop giving these Z-list characters their own shows. Who tf cares about hawkeye fr
Digitalism Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Overrated The show is full of cheap shock tactics that you would only find amusing if you're a teenager or if you have the mind of one
Roman Holiday Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Deserved. Too bad they wimped out with the S3 finale. MCU shows have been a flop since Loki if I’m being generous. They really cheapened the brand with these quick lil shows
Miles. Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Good to see talent and quality winning out over quick little singles
cypriotpcdfan Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 It's one of the best TV shows out there atm, so deserved
chris1991 Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 As they should! Marvel shows have been embarrassingly bad. Wandavison May be the only one that served quality!
Khal Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 And if The Boys released a movie (even if it wasn't R-rated), it most likely wouldn't gross anywhere near the top grossing MCU movies. Both have the categories they're relevant in.

Exodus Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Give us a Quake show to revive Agents of Shield.
est. in 90s Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Looking back on MCU's television roaster of 2022, they kind of flopped this past year compared to the chokehold they had in 2021. They should've just stuck to movies. Making a spin-off television show on every D-list Marvel character was a misstep. Television is a completely different formula than films. They can't do it all, I fear.
