Beyoncé has only one song pulling +500k streams on Spotify (and its on TTH), why?

SPOTIFY is not the only streaming platform. Some of you still forget she Just Dominated apple music in a none of the other pop girls except SZA and Taylor can.

As already mentioned bey truly does not care to be chasing streaming figures. She is the only artist from the 90s still in this conversation and selling over 300k first week. Not gaga, pink, shakira etc the have done that in years.

If she cared enough to actually promote and out on an era you would easily see the difference.

I really don't think Beyonce gives a damn how many streams she's getting on Spotify :skull: If she did she'd be doing something to keep the era alive. Renaissance will get a boost when she goes on tour and releases the visuals.

Interesting that The Gift didn’t get a boost when the album was re-release as a visual album and with a film on Disney + but I digress. :gaycat7:

Monsters are obsessed with Beyoncé it’s scary.

OT: Beyoncé debuted in 2003 and releases one album every six year, there’s just no reason for her to have multiple songs doing 500k unless Tik Tok director chooses to make her viral.

When was this? Because on Apple’s Year End lists for artists and songs she was N/A.

The logic being used here is that she’s top 3 among pre 2010 (female) acts based on gathering all of her streams over night one night by her fans and was left in the dust. 4 somehow managed to outstream pop albums overnight too, it was all hype apparently. Rhythmic classics mean nothing when Katy Perry’s streams are so good in comparison. If only those listeners bought her last album is all.

They don't understand longevity and have tried to discredited her most recent streaming friendly single every step of the way.

No wonder they're often so shocked and upset when reminded that Beyonce was the top female artist of the 2000s decade. How she's the top streamed artist from that decade. They take a day or month of explosive streams and then forget that Beyonce has overall catalog streams that amount to maybe slightly less of what some of them do. Someone just posted Halse being more streamed this decade. It's only 2023. She's not even currently top 100 on daily streams. :rip:

Her album is still top 10 globally and stayed at #1 for over 50 days. It would also be top 10 in the U.S if not for more recent releases.

The way yall focus on songs and not the overall catalog just shows how fickle yall are. She didn't need a monster hit for folks to be invested in her as an artist or go platinum. And it's been working for 25 years now.

How are her peers like Britney, Xtina, Alicia, Kelly, Pink, Ashanti etc fairing?

Shakira is doing infinitely better.

This thread is so stupid, are ya’ll really that obsessed with streaming numbers? So many streams are just people blindly listening to playlists anyway and the most streamed artists are so basic because the GP has very mediocre, heteronormative taste. Beyonce is a living legend, I do find her marketing these days really annoying but se clearly has a lot

of cultural impact.

It's crazy how her back catalogue is so forgotten because she has dozens of collaborations with the most streaming-friendly artists of all time, Disney specials, soundtracks attached to 2 billion grossing movies, massive playlisting and radio payola.

Only place where she thrashes Bey is youtube. Her success with one single and a decade old World Cup song hasn't outstreamed Bey overall on the planets largest audio streaming platform. Shakira has her first top 10 in the U.S since being on Beyonce's Beautiful Liar in 2007.

The only correct answer is she's a streaming poison despite her fans swear she's the biggest and most impactful pop star on the planet :cm:

Her streams have always been a disaster

This is fanfiction. Her total streams are strong and above your fave Gaga’s to the point it will take years to catch up only if Beyoncés catalog streams stay low. We all know they will not and these things change literally daily based on internet trends. So they in fact will never ever be able to catch up to beys. Keep in mind on Apple Music Beyoncé is one of the strongest artists overall, spotify is not everything

You make it sound like Shakira got this one song that brought her back to relevance as if she didnt have one of the most beloved catalogs on Spotify :rip:

Songs doing 200K+ on Shakira's catalog:

1990s: 4

2000s: 7

2010s: 4

2020s: 5

I didn't make it sound like anything. Shakira wasn't consistently top 10 or 20 on Spotify prior to dropping her most recent song. She's not top 10 for all time like Beyonce is either. I didn't say that she didn't have hits or a memorable catalog. She's a frequent releaser and does well. But I'm speaking to those who tend to use daily artists charts as an argument for an artists overall status.

No one wants to listen to her, hype her? yes, for cool points but those doesn't count on Spotify.

But Beyoncé is still top 10 most streamed of all time? And is doing BETTER on AM.

No offence but Shakira releases multiple songs until recently she scored a hit, her first top ten since 2007, and it was after the whole cheating fiasco. Both Gaga and Shakira are playing catch up; they got lucky they did their Superbowl in the streaming eras.

Beyoncé's strength was and always is her LIVE performance, but she's lucky that she has many many hits in her discography. Touring is what she excels at. Any of those people you mention outgrossed her yet?

And none of the girls sabotage their releases so it wasn't a fair comparison. Taylor might sabotaged her earlier releases on streaming, but she made that up later on her career, and she WORKED hard to repair the damage.

Last but not least, B had worked for 20 years. She has three kids now. She no longer hungry for commercial success. Leave that to Olivia, Billie and Dua.
