Vin Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 I thought I read that, for an "additional sharing account," Netflix would charge you 3.99 or 4.99? Is that still a thing or nah? ...Vin
andresg770 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 I'll tell my folks to just downgrade to the one-screen basic plan, then, since my mom's really the only one who watches stuff on Netflix anyway. Maybe we can make the "get a code" thing work for the rare occasion that Netflix has something I want to watch. They're not getting a subscription out of me, though. I watch literally all other streaming services we have (even Peacock!) more than Netflix these days
bliaz Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Good thing I no longer rely on Netflix for entertainment

JonginBey Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Joined Apple TV+ today and already weighing the pros and cons of HBO Max vs Paramount. Just waiting for Netflix to even ******* try it so I can hit the cancel button
Phonography Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Well then I guess it's over for me bye *****
kweenofxanax Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 The fact that if this ends up being a successful strategy then theres a potential that other streaming services will follow suit

Martyr Of Fame Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 $7.99 for additional users??? ******* stupid If they thought that era where they split dvds and streaming was bad, just wait 6 months

Netflix better flop hard with this or streaming will turn bad real quick

magicfever Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Guess I will buy a Friends boxset and spend even more time on Hayu
thatsmydemi Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 (edited) I canceled my subscription last night, and so many people I know on twitter have done it too. However, something tells me (hope I'm wrong) this may not backfire as much as we want or expect. I'm pretty sure many people will feel forced to have a Netflix account on their own, increasing their subscribers. For example, I used to share an account with my friend and her family. Now that we have canceled it, she will probably pay for a plan on her own, her parents will do the same and maybe her two sisters. That means Netflix would gain three more subscribers that were not there before lmao. Edited February 9, 2023 by thatsmydemi
Harmonizer Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Why did people stop buying DVDs You buy them once, and you own it forever. This content switching is not it

This content switching is not it I didn't. I have over thousands of Blu-Ray's and DVD's and still buy them. But to be honest, i still often use streaming anyway.
