But the IMDB reviews are dragging.. what's tea? it depends because the people praising it said it induces that fear of going to the bath room at 3 am or being home alone and being scared of the dark or like sleep paralysis. The people dragging it says it just staring at ceilings and dark hallways, so I think your imagination is doing most of the work. So if you have an active imagination....

It’s an extremely divisive movie. If you look at reviews you’ll find people who either loathe it or think it’s one of the scariest things they’ve ever watched. I think this is one of those films where you have to experience it yourself. Personally I found it boring. It builds some tension at times, but fails to stick the landing in all of them imo. Though I do appreciate the fact that they tried something new and I could see why others could potentially enjoy it. I think this resonates with people who had a fear of the dark growing up. Maybe even more so if they also had childhood trauma around their parents. Just my two cents.
UnusualBoy Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I may watch this but the trailer is one of the creepiest things I’ve ever seen.
Roman Holiday Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Ngl, whoever made that trailer snapped. I couldn’t even finish it because it was actually scaring me and I haven’t been scared by a movie, let alone a trailer, in years

Oh no, this is me, I’m going to have to watch it in the daytime.

Hallad173 Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I told a friend I would go see this with him and just saw the trailer today. This looks creepy af but the broken Barbie doll in the spot light sent me
Badgalbriel Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 This is one of the worst movies I have ever watched in my entire life.
Badgalbriel Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Just reading this title made me so ****** pissed again.

I didn't even knew that it wasn't officially released until i saw spookyaustronauts video about it and how the director tweeted that he wish that people would wait until it is released.
zasderfght Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I've been meaning to watch it, but I have to be very patient. Knowing this movie has little-to-no dialogue and no action has made me put off watching it. Maybe it's because I recently saw Avatar 2 and by the last hour I was mentally checked out lol What happened to horror movies that were 90 minutes long? I could just be getting older and crustier
kandicha Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 this looks like the kind of thing that would give me nightmares... i'll have to watch in broad daylight and at home instead of the theater.
Hallad173 Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 Disappointed overall. There’s a lot being suggested so it’s important to keep a lot of the dialogue(even though it’s minimal) in your mind to make sense of it toward the end. I think this is for a very specific audience of folk who shared the same fear of being alone/in the dark. Halfway through the movie I had to adjust my perspective before I felt like I was getting immersed in the story. Approaching this like most mainstream horror is asking for a 90 min nap in the theater. Trust me
perfect blue Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 I really loved this film. You have to go in stoned and with an open mind for it to click. The first half was pretty boring but it put me into a trance. The film plays with fear of the dark/unknown in such a visceral way that pulls you back to your childhood.
Coma Baby Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Now, I consider myself anything but a movie snob. I'm usually fine with slow, artsy fartsy, little narrative experimental stuff, but this is giving payola. Boring and annoying. Go girl, give us nothing. Maybe I should try again tonight.
X~MoviePoP Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Shinamarink a dinkydink shinamarink a doo, i loveee youuuu
