Movies like this get to the high grosses that they do because of word of mouth and repeat viewings. It is one of the key factors that made Titanic and Avatar the mammoth successes that they were, this is happening again for this one. Cameron doesn't need to shut up about anything, he is literally the person who made Aliens, Terminator 2, Titanic, Avatar, all of which shaped cinema into what it is today. Titanic alone has more cultural resonance than most MCU movies, if not all of them.

Sure... but I'd argue that Titanic has greater depth, better world building and a more compelling story than both Avatar 1 & 2

Titanic will never be surpassed for me.

Kamil24 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I was told this was racist and cancelled. Interesting

I'm saying he shouldn't be shaming a franchise for doing the exact same thing he's doing now and 2009 . It's serving hypocrite.
HungryByTheBuffet Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I hope they film them all and that last 1/2 LOSE money
manwhore Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I literally can’t even give my opinion on this franchise or I’ll get another 2 count wp for trolling because I said I wanted titanic 2. (dead) You James fans get so hostile. I personally don’t think avatar is strong enough to be a franchise but it’s the James hype train. He made titanic so by default he has so much power. So much hype. These avatar films are beyond overrated imo and I shouldn’t be axed for my opinion. I think it’s a better franchise then Star Wars… sure, but that’s not saying much. 3 or 4 films max. 5 though!? I think by then there will be avatar fatigue.

I got a 2 pt wp for supposedly trolling simply for saying I would have preferred a Titanic 2 multiverse film and was banned for two days for that! It was literally just friendly banter. It’s not that serious. The Cameron cult serving Elon fanboys indeed. They can’t accept any other opinions and try to silence you if you disagree with them. Even go as far as mass report you if you don’t align to their views. Edited January 6, 2023 by manwhore

But he never even said that, that was Martin Scorsese James REPEATEDLY said he loves Marvel movies, the only thing I remember him saying was how the heroes in Marvel are all samey in the way they're all young "hyper-gonadal" men with no families (at the time) which was his attempt at marketing/differentiating the Avatar sequels cause Jake has a family now and he wants to show that unique dynamic

Miss Show Business Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 I just never got these movies. Titanic remains the superior Cameron film.
