James Cam announces Avatar 2 is in the green, additional sequels are happening

People online have been shitting all over the previous film and saying how this one will bomb because of "no cultural impact" so I guess it might be satisfying for Avatar fans to see it succeed and see the haters fume at its success again. The same thing happened for Avatar and Titanic with everyone predicting a massive bomb only to be wrong.

Fair enough, but as someone who has only seen the first movie once back when it was originally released and couldn't care less about the franchise, literally all I've seen online about Avatar 2 is people either saying it sucks or fans jeering about how much money it's made.

 

From what I can see, no one is talking about it outside of that specific conversation. Instead, Avatar 2 seems like an amusement park ride that everyone wants to experience once and then they walk away with very little to say

Which is ironic considering the theme park analogy is used the MCU.....and this is why directors like Cameron need to shut up cuz they're doing exactly what they're complaining about.

 

 

OT: good for Cameron and fans of these films. If only he can up the quality. It literally shouldn't be 2 decades since has come up with a decent story. We'll see.

 

At least he can do great visuals and action set pieces.
