As someone who's ethnic this gagged me :clap3: Like the post chorus melody is not just Middle Eastern inspired, but it's straight up old and traditional Middle Eastern music you would find in the Ottoman Empire or something! Like it gave me some sort of comfort and familiarity, since this is kinda the traditional music I grew up with. I just love when Kpop in general incorporates Middle Eastern melodies (This is why I also kinda stan Teddy Oppa's production) :jonny3:

Thats why i hate this song :rip:

It's a tik tok meme.. destined to make people laugh, and you're mad because... they're laughing ?

And I would laugh too if someone did that about me :ahh:

I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's not that deep

so laughing at a minority that is suffering everyday is…a meme now

"It’s not that deep" is always giving a red flag btw

Not a BLACKPINK fan being obsessed with cultural insensitivity. Y'all never learn.

Go do a line, you'll feel better. Works everytime for Rose :bunny:

I did side-eye a bit at the Yujin thing at first but the blame is really to be put on the editors & Youngji's team for associating sassy girls on TikTok with black women. That being said alot of Youngji's mannerisms and style etc comes from imitating black women (like Jessi) and she has said the n word before so it's a bit....I think this is too nuanced of a situation for KPOP stans to really have a discussion about.

I hope the users in here shrugging it off as "everyday woke Twitter drama" are actually black :deadbanana4: Otherwise read the room

It's all Youngji's fault. #YoojinInnocent #YoojinBestGirl

If it's not that deep for you then fine but let people be annoyed at yet another micro agression by a kpop idol.

Yeah Keita was another, but at least he could be in the top 9…

But they seem to really like Zhang Hao though, which is surprising. He’s like the Yuqi of that group, a foreigner generally liked by Korean audience.

I feel like if Jay makes it by some miracle, he’ll be really popular globally. He literally has that star quality and personality along with the talent of course.

They like Zhang Hao but would they choose him over a k trainee with the 1 pick vote?

They also liked Xiaoting and she barely made it.
Really hope Jay,Keita and Zhang Hao end up in the line up.

I don’t even understand what they are trying to do or why did they put this pic bc the tik tok has nothing to do why what they are doing (I’m lost :deadbanana4: and yes I’m fully black)

Also, certain fanbase (if you know you know) need to shut up with the selective outrage, especially looking at who they stan.

This is actually embarrasing and cringey.

Non-Black people in this thread don't need to have an opinion on this but unfortunately, will.

I kinda see what Bang PD was saying when he said afrobeats and latin music is slaying Kpop.

There are a lot of reasons why Kpop won't ever become as globally mainstream as the gov and companies want and I think their inability to behave as if they exist in the 21st century and not the 1970s will probably be one such reason.

Ah well, there will always be koreaboos

Also not all black ppl will or should feel the same thing about something. I mean you got Nina Turner and you got Candace Owens :michael:

Kinda true but it’s worth noting the weirdness of a die hard blink crying about this when Jennie was out there saying the N word and it’s crickets. :rip:

Hope we get a new Sunmi comeback soon, it's almost the 1st anniversary of this masterpiece!!!
