Roberto Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Soho being a flop was a huge mistake, I hope y'all repent someday for that.
Bloodflowers. Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 That's like asking what went wrong with the career of the girl from 13 Reasons Why while Queen's Gambit was smashing Anyhow, Jenna remains safe so far, she has box office smasha SCREAM coming up. She needs to be careful with picking roles afterwords though!
storminthedark Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 The Menu is doing pretty well as an original adult drama without an IP backing it, and that’s primarily based on her star power combined with Ralph Fiennes’. She’s doing fine, staying booked and busy. The real test will be Furiosa.
Hannah Hunt Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 the unwashed masses might have first seen ATJ in that little netflix show, but the a24 girlies have known about her since the vvitch back in 2015. she isn’t a netflix it-girl, she’s on the same casting lists as florence and saoirse. only actors who “come out of nowhere” end up slumming it in multiple netflix productions. jenna will probably have a great career, but she needs to avoid working with netflix on any more projects. you don’t want to end up with the kind of desperate stink that surrounds millie bobbie brown.
Digitalism Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Jenna has no hit movies and hasn't even worked with known directors Anya has Peaky Blinders and has worked with David O russel, Robert Eggers, Edgard Wright, M night (in his only good movie in years and George Miller Call me in a few years when she actually gets work and we can compare Also Grace is calling Florence situation better. When she flopped all year and picked a lot of award chasing performances only for Anya to get a nom and Pugh being empty handed. She clearly doesn't like Anya or want her to be in a franchise and I don't think Anya is trying I mean you put Grace in the OP and that was all I needed to know to realize you were going to be wrong

The Witch Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Not when she's slaying with The Menu rn @Reverse Warholian Jenna Putega wishes to have her talent!
EdgeofTeeth Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 queen ATJ is going the art-not-the-charts route and we love her for it
Miles. Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 This desperate, delusional, pathetic attempt to pit two talented successful women against each other Anya is doing MORE than fine. She has a dozen critically acclaimed roles under her belt. She has received raves for the vast majority of her projects. She is on a Margot / JLaw / Florence / Saoirse path. The Menu is doing well financially and just got her another GG nom. She has the Mario movie and Furiosa for the box office. Don't worry about her. Jenna is doing great too, and I look forward to seeing her in a more serious drama in the future.
Johnny Jacobs Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Both successful just that one is getting more attention now
Life Savers Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 ATJ is more than fine . This is the same girl who chose to do The Witch (and smartly so) over a Disney role. Money is not her motivation.
Konril Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Anya is doing fine. Queen's Gambit was just her Netflix moment. She's Arts not the Charts, before that anyway with The VVitch, Split, Peaky Binders... The Menu is also doing good.
kexin Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 the biggest flop OP named in this thread is Grace Randolph marvel stans knew when to drop her but i'm not surprised the gays claimed her clout chasing ass.
Katy V.! Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 ATRL can't see more than one successful woman at a time
harwee Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 (edited) The Menu will do 60-70m globally. Last Night is a bit of a disappointment. So as Northman, but that's not her movie. She is a star, just been doing these experimental and avant garde-ish films, and ensembles. Nothing wrong with that, but if she wants a big movie-star career, she needs to make a few big-risk movies that is all about her. But I'm not sure if she wants to go real big, or that's the type of career she wants. Edited December 13, 2022 by harwee
Eóghan Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 Your obsession with Tanya is unhealthy. Why are you putting so much on this girl's back after one Netflix success There's tons of streaming hits every year, the fact that she managed to fully transition into a movie career is remarkable. Proof that the hype was worthy of her name. There's no movies that actually succeeds in this climate other than super-heroes.
Blue. Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 The analysis on the OP must be one of the most stupid things I’ve ever read. If anything, you’d need to wait for Jenna to due the amount and type of movies that Anya has done before comparing.
Trash Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 ATJ will go down as the scream queen of our gen, and a talented one at that. Jenna can be a fad as far as we know, wishing her luck tho, i liked her in The Babysitter: Killer Queen.
Marla Singer Posted December 12, 2022 Posted December 12, 2022 What is this mess? Anya's CV even before The Queen's Gambit was pretty impressive. She's good.

Why are y’all so bad at reading I literally said there’s nothing to compare because Jenna hasn’t got a career post Wednesday yet. Open a book!
