I bet the Horizon Zero Dawn devs were fuming.  After their devs were being jerks on Twitter toward Elden Ring earlier this year, I’m not surprised they went home with nothing.

I kind of agree. Demon's Souls PS5 is so visually superior, that Elden Ring feels like a big step backwards, to me, on that platform, at least. It's like settling for gold when you've already been given diamonds.

 

ER is not what I would have chosen for GOTY in terms of overall quality, but the cross-platform impact was massive, I guess.
